Hollyoaks actress Roxanne McKee has revealed that her screen counterpart is in for a rough summer.
McKee, who plays Louise Summers in the Channel 4 soap, has had a quiet few months in the soap but her life will be thrown into turmoil in the next couple of weeks when her husband's body is found in a boggy wood some months after meeting his maker.
Speaking of the forthcoming plot, she said: "It's all about to kick off for Louise when Sean Kennedy's body is discovered, so there's plenty of action going on in her life.
"It's been a long time coming, really. Louise has been perpetually plagued by Sean from day one so it looks like there may be an end in sight - the outcome of which will see a darker side to Louise."
When Louise is arrested on suspicion of murdering her late spouse, she finds herself in a stickier situation than she originally anticipates.
"Sadly, she's very suspicious during her interview," McKee continued. "She ends up making herself look guilty as she's not the most tactful of people and Louise has always been known for speaking her mind and getting herself into trouble."
Louise, however, is still in the dark that it was in fact her fiancé Warren (Jamie Lomas) who was responsible for Sean's death. But of their relationship, McKee said: "I think Louise and Warren are strong enough to survive this."
On how Warren will handle the situation, she teased: "Warren will probably deal with it all by crying loads and lifting extra-heavy weights! No, seriously; he's devastated, but knowing Warren, I'm sure he'll come up with a plan
