Marlene Kratz? She was Cheryl's mother and Lou's mother-in-law. I think she was also the grandmother of Sam (Richard Grieve who is now in something else I think?).
I haven't watched Neighbours properly for a few years but she left a long long time ago to go on a cruise, and never came back. I don't think she was ever mentioned again either.
Like I say - I don't watch anymore but this has been on my mind for some odd reason.

I did love Des too Bingette! In fact I loved all of the characters in the early days.
Marlene reminded me of a turtle because of her eyes - they were all crinkly. And sometimes I thought she looked like she could recede into a shell like a turtle - her neck was crinkly too!

And who can forget Mockney Eddie that Madge & Harold picked up from their trip to London? One of Neighbours' only black characters...

OMG I loved dr Clive he was so lovely.

Eddie was very funny.

I liked it when Joe Mangle came back that was great.
