I have not watched EE for ages because of the storylines. I might watch Grant coming back again but its not sonia and noami kissing thats getting me back I can tell you.

I watched this last night and was surprised to see Eastenders back in the stone age the way they are treating Sonia just because shes now with a girl? but it gives me something to moan about, so its not all bad

All i can say is that this is to early and children are still up at this time Idont let my son watch this but it is going around in his school and this is in yr 1 and 2.Iwas shocked when my son said he knew what gay was!!He is only 7.I dont remember anything like that when i was that age.Parents also let thier children watch the bill.Our son asked us so we had a quick look at what it was about the first thing we saw was a child aged about 6 beaten black and blue.Is ther anyone who thinks the same as me or am i over protective?

it is important to vet what kids watch, but you cant shield them from real life, kids do get beaten black and blue, there are gay people out there, and many other things, Id rather my son learnt that from me than elsewhere

i agree, my daughter just saw sonia and naomi kissing, she said they should be kissing on cheek,lol, but anyway, it doesn't bother me if my two knew what gay was, it's just a part of life and it's not something for people to be ashamed of. i'm pretty open with them about most things they want to know, i'd rather they grow up to see normal life as normal instead of something normal being a taboo, if ya get what i mean

I don`t think you can be too over protective with children but they can be sheltered too much, if that makes sense? My oldest is 23 and my youngest is 9 and I can see the differences in what the youngest knows at her age, to what my oldest knew at his age all those years ago. We have gay friends, so my littlen is well aware that some men and women prefere their own sex and I am a huge news watcher, so she does hear things that maybe other parents wouldn`t let their children hear but shes always asking questions, which I do take the time to answer in a way she can understand but she has three older siblings, so she has grown up very quickly compared to a child her age who is the oldest. I think its different for all parents nowadays but no way is wrong, you do whatever you feel is right for your child
