It's not good news for Alice this week when she goes to hospital to have a cat scan. As she returns the next day with Del for the results, it seems the chemo isn't shrinking her tumours, and that although it will prolong her life, it will not cure the cancer. Alice toys with the idea of not continuing with the treatment, but what will Sam think? Elsewhere, Val admits she's still in love with Eric, and sets about sabotaging her own election campaign in order to prove her true feelings for him. However, she starts handing out flyers telling how her gay son's father is her sister's ex-husband, which leaves Diane understandably riled. Her plan doesn't work, and the opinion polls still show her way out in the lead. Meanwhile, Debbie and Jasmine look set for more trouble when they offer to help Jamie with his party. The vicar's niece decides stealing booze from the Woolpack will get the bash swinging. All hell breaks loose when she's found out, and as Daz tries to comfort her they end up kissing. Debbie walks in, and in the resulting argument, the vicarage goes up in flames. Will the three teenagers escape
I kinda thought that might happen to poor Alice, you know yourself what soaps are like
