The BBC has received over 100 complaints about Friday night's episode of EastEnders, which saw Max Branning being buried alive.
Tanya Branning (Jo Joyner) was seen getting the ultimate revenge on her cheating husband Max (Jake Wood), who was drugged before being put in a grave dug by Sean Slater (Robert Kazinsky).
The episode went out at 8pm, but some viewers have claimed that the scenes were not suitable for broadcast before the 9pm watershed.
A BBC spokesman said: "There have been 137 complaints so far. We feel that number is small in relation to the number of viewers."
Joyner has admitted that she was "really upset" when she was told about the burial plot, but promised that viewers would be "pleased" with the outcome of the storyline. [QUOTE]
please why do people always complain about eastenders epsiodes when some one dies stabbed or others
imo people knew what was going to happen in that episode and if they didnt want to see it then they shouldnt of watched it!! eastenders always gets bad press yet when tracy murdered charlie in corrie knowone said anything!!! people complaine about eastenders being dull then when they have an exciting storyline people still complaine!
its just a tv programmewhy do ppl go to so much efoort to find the number to ring to complain etc...if they think its inppropriate to be shown b4 water shed they should just make the kids watch something else instead simple as!!

I can understand about ppl moaning it being before the watershed, some poor kid could get upset, and have nightmares, although, i think it is up to the parent what they let their children watch. I certainly didn't see the need for ppl to complain. I don't normally watch EE, but I thought, it was an excellent storyline, well played by all parties.

I have to admit I did not like the storyline --being buried alive and it was on a bit early to be honest but each to their own,as far as complaining to offcom it is something I would not do,but having said that it was such an over the top storyline even for EE, I really felt sorry for Max and I dont even like his character
this storyline has really put me off eastenders though. it's so ridiculous. eastenders had the potential for a great aftermath once the affair was revealed, but once again, like many other times, they've turned it into something un-believable and stupid. it's like the script-writers dont know how to handle big storylines.
