i know this may sound a bit sad but does anyone else feel that thekind of characters that live in the east end (eastenders) arnt true to life and the real type of people that live in that area. Coming from not to far away from the east end i know that for example a doctor (may) would never live in an area like the east end. You would never get a doctor living in the same road as a family on the dole such as the millers. They will have a surgery there but they will never live there. Also a soliciter such as stella may not really live in the pokey little flat that they portrayed her to live in. Dont know if anyone else has any other views or dissagrees but just thought id ask to see what other people think x

We said the same about the washing machine situation. And when people leave, they always go in a cab - they complain about traffic congestion in England, but most of the folk in Eastenders don't have a car. Also, when they leave, they seem to only have a poxy suitcase as their worldly posessions (if anything) - they may as well have a red spotty hankie on a pole!! It's not very real, is it! And lastly, houses don't go up for sale or anything - someone else just moves in and god knows how most of them afford the mortgage / rent! Ok - moan over.....
yeah thats true about people just moving into houses. Like phill just buys property and businesses and theres no question as to how hes got the money. The house price in london is really high so he muse be a millionair to afford all those businesses. He cant seriousley have that kind of money. And when people leave they never take any furnature wiv them. Or any crockery like kitchen plates. Surely they dont leave it all behind. Anyway i think iv gone on enough i must be boring everyone x x
Another thing....you never see anybody sitting down of an evening to watch the soaps. Also no matter how skint anyone is they always manage to drink in the Vic every night
No one seems to have a job where they go out to work in the morning and come back in the evening, they all work in either the Market, the pub, the cafe or the garage, all within 2 minutes walk of where they live. The ones who are designated the suits ie, Bradley, Bradleys Dad, the Doctors hubby, are all 'consultants' which is euphamism for an unspecific job where they can be around and about the square during the daytime. I mean does anyone know what they actually do for a living.
yeah its really wierd that people with supposed 9-5 jobs like bradley and rob all seam to just hang about the square all day on supposed half days etc. Bradleys had more half days than hes done full days! And Max is never at work just walks round the square in a suit claiming hes busy

That's becuase Peggy always give out free drinks becuase she's either apologetic to them or sympahthetic to them. Or maybe she likes giving out drinks cause shes rich or w/e.
I think, bottom line and jokng apart, the soaps treat us like complete muppets, and Eastenders is the worst culprit. No one has aspirations further than the market square, even the new characters end behind the Ian Beales chippy or Peggy's pub, or another goddam market stall. At least the girls in Corrie have a knickers factory to trot along to, mind if they strayed more than a few streets away, it means they're gonna have a relationship with their boss.
