Emily Kirk's been in hiding the last few months after running off with Debbie Dingle's unwanted baby Sarah.
She promised to take the abandoned child and create new life for the two of them miles away from the Dales, but it looks like she's changed her mind – as the mild-mannered ‘mum' is making a comeback.
Actress Kate McGregor, who plays the shy shop assistant, is now back in Emmerdale filming some dramatic new scenes.
The actress has been on maternity leave and gave birth to a healthy baby at the beginning of the year.
"We're delighted to welcome Kate back after her maternity leave and we're looking forward to the storylines which surround her return," says an Emmerdale spokesperson.
The scenes are due to air late October.
‘Del thinks Toni's out to ruin her relationship with Paddy, then the unthinkable happens…' Actress Kerry Stacey reveals all as the romance rivals battle it out.
Toni and Del's ongoing feud over unlikely heartthrob Paddy Kirk heats up this week (literally) when the demonic Dingle pushes the busty barmaid into a pan of boiling fat!
The ‘accident' happens during a furious row over Tonisha's friendship with her former landlord and object of lust Paddy.
It turns out the bumbling vet does have feelings for the flirty pint-puller after all. So, after realising he doesn't have a future with Del, he dumps the downhearted Dingle and confesses his feelings to true-love Toni!
Later, as brunette babe Del's drowning her sorrows in the Woolpack, she confronts her arch-enemy and accuses Toni of stealing her man before angrily shoving her into the cooker!
“They both say a lot of things they probably don't mean,” explains Kerry, who plays the distressed Daggert.
“Then the unthinkable happens. Del completely loses it and pushes Tonisha into a frying pan. It falls on top of her and she suffers very severe burns.”
Ohhh, we don't even want to imagine the pain-never mind the scarring!
But what does this mean for Toni and Paddy? Will they ever get it together?
“It's probably too little too late. She definitely blames Del and there are a few days where she holds Paddy to blame as well. If he had told her his feelings sooner this wouldn't have happened."
And how about Del? Something tells us this might affect their friendship?!
“Toni's showing her ugly side and wants to get Del into as much trouble as possible. She wants revenge.”
We really wouldn't want to be in Del's shoes right now!
