What I`m curious to know from all these people who write in and ask for help for their dogs problems, is why do they ask us?
we`re not experts, we don`t know the animals involved, and we could be giving complete rubbish for answers, or answers that could even be dangerous.
Why don`t people with problem dogs go straight to a animal behaviouralist? This expert will meet the animal concerned, and watch how it behaves with and without it`s owners, therby enabling the expert to come up with an individually tailored remedy for the problems.
Sometimes I think that people are trying to get answers on the cheap.
As a vet I once knew said. there`s no such thing as a bad dog, only bad owners.
Invariably the animal behaviouralist tells the owners that THEY have to change they way they treat/react/interact with the dog, which will eventually cure the problems.

Doctor: You`re an echo. That`s all. A TimeLord is so much more. A sum of knowledge; a code. A shared history. A shared suffering. Only it`s gone now, all of it. Gone forever.
