To be honest, I don't prefer it to watching a "proper" tv set. When I'm sat on the PC/Laptop at home then I'd prefer to be able to glance at the tv at the same time - obviously with watching on a laptop while working I can't do that without clicking away from the activity I'm doing (I'm the type of person who always has something on in the background, can't function in silence!). However, I live in halls at university now, and can't afford a TV license, so 4OD/Bbc iplayer/ITV Catch-up has been fantastic!

It varies, on an average day probably about 2 hours, just for the purpose of having some noise on in the background while I'm working. However there's about 6-7 hours of programmes a week that I specifically sit down and watch.

A difficult question, I think maybe in some respects yes it does make things easier but in the information age where fraud is getting more and more common it can sometimes lead to more difficulty for people. In terms of watching tv online, yeah I think it's great and much easier for people like myself who are too tight to pay for a tv license!
