Thoughts on "Momma Boone"
Christian - Dream sequence aside, the funeral sequence was fine, not standout like they would be on Six Feet Under but not terrible either. I think Sky One did some editing because we didn't see the aftermath of Christian's rape by the Carver. I liked how he showed a sensitive side to Momma's plight.
Kit - I don't know what i'm supposed to make of her. I guess she's a good detective and Rhona Mitra played the Brit accent convincingly enough was fine but she ain't an ethical one, now is she. She was far more predatory than Christian and the sex before the three-way was the most animalistic on the series.
Kimber - An episode in which Kimber doesn't annoy me must be a rarity because she didn't annoy me. I'm glad she refused Christian's propsal the way she did but did anyone else notice how she dug Kit? I mean the two really went for each other more than Christian did.
Sean/Julia - Will they ot won't they get divorced and why should I care? They work better apart than together anyway, although both of them got to be sad about the idea of seperation. I always knew Erica hated Sean and she proved it by telling Julia to fight dirty. I didn't want to see Jude but I did. I'll live I guess.
Liz - Love the new hairstyle, really feminine and kind of butch, just a pity she didn't have more in the episode to do though.
Matt - Had barely anything to do and Ava and Adrian weren't mentioned. Until next week.
Quentin - Seriously doubt he's the Carver, too easy almost though I did notice him flirting with Christian though. Not many blokes can pull off a white on white emsemble but Bruno Campos did.
Momma Boone - A surprisingly poignant and heartfelt storyline that nicely tied into both Sean and Christian's personal dilemmas.
I liked this more than I thought, so i'm giving it a 9/10. I still don't think it justified 90 mins but at least time wasn't wasted.
