Channel 4, please do not waste £4m or £5m on trying to secure the services of Mr Ross.
The man is way past his sell-by date who has lost what sharpness he used to have and the only person he cares about or loves is himself (bugger the guest or viewer). This is so glaringly obvious when you attempt to watch his show - I cannot see how on earth he gets away with it - let alone has misguided channels fighting over him!
He may have better hair than Parky or Clive Anderson, but he is neither interested enough in his guests (to persuade them to reveal anything remotely interesting about themselves) nor is he funny enough to make up for his lack of these vital interviewing skills. Unless you count his unfunny humour and expletives for the sake of it, funny that is.
His show is basically all about Jonathan Ross and the guests are incidental. Please bring back Clive Anderson (since Parky is contracted to ITV). Not only is he better value for money - he is better value in every sense and has been off our screens for far too long.
If you're going to do chat shows, get people who give a toss about the guests. So no more self-loving Graham Norton either please.
Did you see last night? It was just sooooo cringey when he was just being bonkers with Gunter von Hagens, and then David Baddiel was brilliant - maybe they should just rename it Friday Night with David Baddiel and sack Ross!!!
