The boxsets are only available on R1 so it would have to be Ebay copies I'm afraid.

Or buy a cheap DVD player which you can make multi-regional

That applies to DVD drives, on computers, laptops etc. Not known any DVD players which have that limitation.

I have mine set to Region 9 which will play any region, so the changing back and forth isn't an issue.

DVD Roms on your computer dont allow you to change it to region free. Only regions 1-6 five times before they stick at the last region you choose on the fifth time. So I wouldnt recommend doing this as you will only be able to watch SBTB four times.

However you can now buy region free DVD players for £20 nowadays. Check out www.amazon.co.uk one of the places you can buy them.

The only way to make something region free is to make a copy of it and strip off the region part. Legally you can make a backup copy if you own the original, called 'fair use', but you cant strip off the region part. And if you share it with some one, thats piracy.
Anyway its not usually worth it. You'll need blank DVDs, a DVD burner, the proper extract and rewrite software, 4-8Gb of hard drive space, 4-6 hours, and you usually end up with something of a worse quality than the original DVD.
