What can i say? OMG @ Annette who gave us pagans a bad name! Mind you it was Annette being herself that did that not the fact she surrounded herself in half of her crystal collection (to which i'm very jealous) the fact she felt compelled to put one down her bra was the last straw for me though.
I think all the other contestants deserved to win this one just for putting up with her.
Don't know when this one was originally broadcast but that woman needed help. The guy summed her up as a two year old in a strop, I am about the same age and I could not believe her antics, she has some deep psychological problems that one. Sitting on her own for dessert or should it be deserted? For goodness sake, she obviously does not understand the adult world of conversation and wished to be the total centre of attention. BTW I really love this programme, the format is great and the mix of people makes for good viewing. I know that the week featured today was a repeat but I really enjoyed watching this one again, still thought that the girl who did the hubble bubble pipe produced the best menu, it was different from anything that any of the participants would have experienced before and all but the winner, who did produce a lovely meal etc, embraced fully. I felt that that guy may have won but he somehow lost out. The girl who ate Kosher was the most open minded and in my opinion the best guest.

I'm new to the series, I saw it last time and was hoping that week was the start of another, i was disappointed not to find it back on again, which isn't a bad thing as the diet has started here lol
Nevertheless, I had a new kitchen before xmas and i would have loved a kick start into making up new recipies again.
I noticed the website have plenty of old ones to catch up with so all isn't so bad.
What about that really awful girl Isabelle or something in one programme who marked everyone 1 or 2 to try to win. I hope she is hounded everywhere she goes, what a nasty mean spirited person she is!

You've summed up my opinion right there! I'm only 19 but I've gotta say if I acted like that I'd be ashamed of myself for being so immature! I think that the guy who won (sorry I can't remember his name) completely deserved it. The food looked delicious!
I think my favourite run was the one with the footballers wife (Sarah I think she was called) with the red hair, and the vicar. Just a really diverse group of people but I really enjoyed the weeks viewing.

My god, I *so* wanted that horrible piece of work to get her comeuppance! Was it enough just to get her to re-mark the others? Even those marks were ridiculous!
Well at least she didn't win! I wonder if now she thinks it was worth exposing her mean minded, truly repugnant personality to the Nation just for her 15 minutes of fame? Or maybe it was some sort of an attempt to get herself noticed? She was that alright.

But don't you think the cheating was unfair? if she had owned up to buying the starters ok, but to say she had made them! and her scoring reminded me of the other woman who gave deliberate low marks.
Come Dine With Me is a bit of a hidden gem & I'm always thrilled to discover a new series.It should be on instead of Richard & Judy. Have loved all of them but particularly enjoyed the Cardiff shenanigans. I think it's more about human nature than it is about food.
What always makes me laugh about Come Dine With Me is the fact that most of the contestants either cook something they've never tried before (and get in a flap about it) or they don't have half the ingriedients they need and have to use substitutes! If you know your menu beforehand why don't you make sure you have all the necessary items........
Just about to do my own version of come dine with me. Having my very critical brother and his wife and daughter over for a Chinese banquet this weekend, (in the spirit of Chinese new year), doing 3 chicken dishes, 2 beef and 1 pork, all with either egg fried or boiled rice or noodles. for starters there are wontons, prawn crackers, spring rolls, rice crackers, BBQ Chinese ribs, hot and spicy pepper king prawns and dips, (sweet chilli, Thai curry, sweet and sour and soy.) for dessert I am doing a lime mousse with Chinese gooseberry (Physalis) and mango coulis and finishing off with fortune cookies. Will let you know how it goes. Does anybody else have any plans for Chinese NY and does anybody else have any suggestions on how my menu could be improved?

Yeah I do think that the cheating is unfair (and the low marking just makes the contestants look about 5 years old, don't you think?) but regardless I just enjoyed the diversity of people. I felt a bit sorry for the woman who made the chocolate menu, it was although she was a bit left out.
