Ok, I have to ask this question.... Which moron at Channel 4 negotiated a 2 year deal for Lost when the whole world knows it's an on-going story designed to run over 5 seasons?! What a load of plonkers!!!! And the reason season 2 of Lost had a fall in viewers was becaause Channel 4 sat on it for ages before they transmitted it! They could have daisy-chained it onto the end of the first season. But because they hesitated everyone downloaded it and so didn't watch it on TV. I've already seen the first three episodes of season 3 of Lost and it seems much better than season 2 was. More story and less padding. Finally how can Sky bid higher when they have less revenue from advertising? You can't tell me they get more viewers than a terrestrial mainstream channel! Somebody definitely can't do their sums somewhere.
Who goes? You decide! Who stays? THEY decide!

Sky get subriscption fees, however whilst it does get less viewers, its viewers tend to be richer and in a favourable demogrphic to advertisers, so they dont mind the law ratings to much.

Basically, what I said earlier. C4 demographic audience is younger than Sky`s. Sky`s older more patient viewers are quite happy to wait while the story unfolds. C4`s younger audience want the answers to all the questions now, and lose interest if they have to hang around and wait for too long.

I dont know about that, what with Sky bringing it forward to novmember, if anything Sky fairs downloading more than C4 did.

If someone is that desperate to watch Lost, they`ll be downloading it every week as the US networks airs them. That`s what I did with Angel. I was watching the ep less than 24 hours after it aired in the US. But that didn`t stop me from watching it again on sky1 a few months later (to help keep the viewing figures up to ensure that Sky carried on buying the show)
