Just a wee recap in case you didn't
apple strudel, apple snow, apple pie, apple sauce (not with pork for you tho) instead of plain apple crumble mixed the apples with defrosted and drained frozen forest fruits gives a yum red crumble alternative. Good luck with using them up Fuzz.

Poor Lindy, awful for her family, what a worry. And with the chat threads disappearing like they have been lately, it so loses the flow of conversations, just when we need it the most to support one of our friends.

Hi jsf, Julie and anyone else who posts on here. I see Julie has given you some great ideas for your apples!!! I'm fine thanks - always happy when the sun's shining. I'm not doing anything exciting today - going to fill up with petrol and take my Mum shopping for an hour.
I've been up since the crack of dawn again and done all of my jobs (including taking the dog for a long walk - very crisp this morning but pleasant) so I'm going to have a quiet afternoon hopefully. Hope everyone's well and that you're getting the good weather as we are here. Take care.

Yeah you are so so right Fuzzy, soldier on with the chat threads so we can all keep in touch and especially to support our friends who are having a hard time. I'm now just going to ignore any posts that provoke an argument and hopefully the one who is spoiling it all for everyone else will get bored and go away and we can get back to our usual friendly chat.

I just heard Skye is much improved and hopefully coming home soonish! Im soo happy! I'm just back from spin, off with only one doggie later and ping pong this evening!

Anyway when you get here folks, hope you're all ok My dinner turned out ok yesterday So I was well pleased...problem is today I have bought a rolled breast of lamb and me and cooking lamb just does not mix Lol it either turns out like an ol' leather boot or I leave it in for ages to make it goes soft and then I can't carve it They make it look so easy on TV...I just don't know what I do wrong

Anyway wish me luck If it goes wrong it'll have to be roast fishfingers again lol

Morning all! A lovely morning here in North Lincolnshire today - hope it's the same for you.
I actually watched the repeat of CDWM yesterday although I'd actually seen it quite recently but enjoyed it anyway.
Hope you've all had a great weekend and that you are home safely from the Lake District Julie.
Pleased your hubby's thumb is on the mend jsf.
We took Mum out for lunch yesterday to a pub about 3 miles away from where we live and had a great meal - nice not to have to cook for a change.
Next Sunday, weather permitting, we're taking our grandchildren to the coast again so they can go on the miniature railway (and us too!) so we're looking forward to that.

Thanks yes Lakes was lovely Muggy and it sounds like your weekend was nice too, out for pub lunch, yummie! We went out too at weekend and I had a lush steak and YUMMIE baileys and white choc cheesecakey thing for pud!

What happened to your lamb Fuzz?? what a shame you had a lamb fight Over cook? Under cook? I find 20-25 mins per pound plus 20-25mins does lamb a treat. I push slivers of garlic into the flesh before I cook it and pop some rosemary in and around it too. I take it out of fridge an hour or two before it goes in oven too. It's my fav roasty din. give it another shot Fuzz!

I keep missing those Sunday CDWM repeats, good on you Muggs and Green Fairy on catching them!

Nice here now but it was pretty miserable this morning and also yesterday afternoon. It absolutely poured down. I'm looking after my neighbour's three cats as she's gone to Gran Canaria for a week (lucky person) and I had a job to get them to go out yesterday afternoon due to the weather and when I finally managed it, they just rushed under the car! Your way of cooking lamb sounds great Julie. Are you a good cook?
Also, it's Wednesday today NOT Tuesday. Thought it was only me who has senior moments!
Must go, have to get the vegetables prepared for dinner - my favourite task NOT!

Thank you too, you are too sweet, Skye is getting better everyday, she's recuperating slowly and is still a bit fragile so lots of TLC but it's soooo sooooo nice to have her back!

Muggy those three cats sound a handful...I've got one cat he's called Buster and he's 13 (he thinks he's 3, bless )...He's enough to be getting on with at times, especially when he has mad-cat half hour, he just runs around like a maniac for no reason lol

Anyway...hope you both have a good weekend and are doing something nice... I'm gonna try and catch CDWM on sunday if I can.

Yes, I had friends visiting so I didn't mind missing it too much. Hope you won the row with the lamb!!!
