I think giving chocolate easter eggs is a custom started by dentists to ensure a steady supply of patients to make lots of money from. It`s certainly NOTHING to do with the crucifixion.

didn't do a very good job of it though. the date is still determined by the phases of the moon rather than the actual crucifixion

Is the Easter Bunny a servant of God?
My daughter was convinced she heard him last night due to whooshing noises outside. It was probably the strong winds we've been having, but who am I to shatter her illusions? The only problem I had was that the "Easter Bunny" only brought her the latest Shaun the Sheep and Ratatoullie DVDs, but no eggs! Well I just had to explain that the Easter Bunny is on a budget this year, but will be visiting her 'other' home with Mummy and both sets of Grand parents.
What I really wanted to say was, "It's not Christmas, and don't be so ungrateful!"
