There are some episodes that the voiceover natterers don't seem to interrupt, and instead they just emblazon "Next: Hollyoaks" at the top of the screen (as if anything DIFFERENT has happened at 6.30pm on a weekday for the last 2-3 years following the Simpsons) because *something happens at the end of the credits which shouldn't be talked over*
Tonight was one of them - "Round Springfield", which ends with one of the most heartfelt scenes ever, after Bleeding Gums Murphy dies and comes back for one last duet with Lisa.
Wonderful... emphatic... and bloody well ruined by the scrunching up of the screen and a sodding stupid shouty woman telling us that... hey, Hollyoaks is next!
For crying out loud!
Do you ever get the feeling that if Channel 4 owned the sky up above that as we looked up into the early evening, the clouds would be shoved over to one side and a big logo would appear to say: "Next: Night"?
Still, at least I got one over on C4VE and their treatment of me over the Simpsons censorship and their blatant refusal to put me in touch with anyone higher up because they claimed they couldn't - which turned out to be a lie, as was confirmed when I wrote to the big boss at C4 and the VE bunch are going to get their ass kicked.

LMAO, so true Homer!
I can't stand pointless voiceover announcements whilst programmes/films are still to finish.
Mother Simpson was the episode where... Homer's mother returned 25 years after he thought she was dead. As the credits begin and she leaves once again, Homer sits on his car as if to wait for her return (which he knows may never come).
It's a very heartfelt episode that actually brought a tear to my eye the first time I saw it because it reminded me of a time that I hadn't spoken to my Mum, after a big row, for a couple of years which all makes for a sad ending.
Even Sky have marked this episode in the past as "ONE NOT TO TALK OVER OR SCRUNCH UP THE SCREEN".
What a shame that Channel 4 continue to dumb down as idiotcally as the management in charge.
