The thing that struck me is that for two of the women in the programme, it was all about having babies but not about having children.

I think these women are addicted to babies and this is why they want more, why don't they work as nursery nurses or train to be midwives rather than having more and more babies?!

I have no problem with anyone having children they can afford, but resent the fact that I work ten hours a day to pay for children parents cannot afford: I could only afford one child, and left it at that.

As for Noreen: it was clear her silly husband was forcing her to have more and had no concern for her health and well being whatsoever, if he wants more then he should get pregnant and get a job to feed them!

I agree. As I said in another thread, in my opinion I think that the families should stop constantly feeling the need to have another baby, and enjoy bringing up the children they have already got. They don't stay babies forever. I don't think it's fair for the other children to hear their parents going on about wanting another kid all the time. On the other hand they did seem well loved and I'm in no way saying they are bad parents, as they seemed really good.

i agree with you i think that 13 children is to much for anyone its obvioue that more than one child is going to miss out on things. also if they cant pay for them why have them?

The points raised are good ones, The family that trouble me the most though, is the Asian one: the husband wanted more and more children without a care for how his wife was feeling; it's obvious that she just does what he says she is to do, however, this may lead to her rejecting further offspring she has.

Has the asian lady already started rejecting some of her children?

they all seemed to be well loved and cared for but if they are cant/wont support them financially then that is another matter. The asian man didnt seem very keen on getting work in order to pay for his ever increasing family and his poor wife was worn out and he didnt seem to care cos his get out clause was that it was Allah's will - WELL - if it was him giving birth to all these kids I wonder if Allah's will would come into the equation then

If a husband an wife took it in turns to give birth to their children, then every family would only end up with 2 kids (if the husband gave birth to the first child), or 3 kids if the wife had the first child.

There`s no way that a man would voluntarily give birth to a second child!!
