Trust me you don't each episode depending download speed changes-on average it takes 2 hours download one episode so far i managed 6 episode ( 3X stargate & 3XAtlantis one) note if i chose one downloaded 6 of one series. i agree GS-Atlantis does seem risky if five would show it

quote: the Doctor & Rose were both in it, a recurring character (in the form of Jackie) was in it, how was it not a Doctor Who episode
The Doctor pointlessly appeared at the start of the episode, then he came in right at the end to give a ridiculous explanation of the ridiculous alien before giving that ridiculous "actor" a ridiculous paving stone with a ridiculous face in it! Pathetic

quote: Originally posted by GrandSlam: the truth about how Elton knows the Doctor was a bit strange I give you that, but thats all Elton ever saw, and thats the point of this episode.
also dont forget the episode is being told by Elton, so the Scooby Doo style monster chasing, isnt what really happend, just how he remebers it.
as to the girl in the paving slab, sure its odd but it sort of spoofs Cassandra, and really confirms that the sonic screwdriver can do just about anything.
it is a shame we didnt actually see any of the previous Doctors in this episode, and a nod to Professor X.
the Absorbloff was alot better than I thought it was gonna be, and it being from the Siltheen twin party echoed what I thought when I saw the picture
question is, when do we see a Siltheen vs Absorbloff war episode
In the Cult TV forum where I`ve just posted, I said I didn`t like the ep while I was watching it, but after thinking about it afterwards, I think it is better than it first appeared to be. So I`m going to rewatch it in the morning. The Doctor and Rose`s frequent forays in current day London don`t happen in a vacuum, therefore other people have to be affected. I did expect to see Elton standing on the top of a building at christmas though! Was everyone quicker at spotting Myrtle from Harry Potter than me? It wasn`t until I saw her poking thru the absorbleoff`s chest that I twigged where I knew her from.
******************************** John Smith: So what am I then? Nothing. I`m just a story.
Doctor: You`re an echo. That`s all. A TimeLord is so much more. A sum of knowledge; a code. A shared history. A shared suffering. Only it`s gone now, all of it. Gone forever.

I noticed straight away, which is weird considering I never paid attention to the films

Thoughts on "Love And Monsters" Advanced warning - I soo wanted to hate this episode but I really didn't. Okay then ... Elton - The joke about his name won't win prizes for subtlety but I still had to laugh I admit. Like Grandslam mentioned, Marc Warren is a brilliant actor and he excelled himself here. I loved how Elton showed people that being obsessive about The Doctor doesn't make your life completely empty and I liked all the twists and turns with him throughout. The end scene was pretty sweet and the seeds are being sown for the finale, methink. Ursula - I wouldn't want to get on this girl's bad side. her attraction to Elton you could detect a mile off and I loved her screaming at Victor and threatening to smack him. Just a pity her bravery second time around proved fatal. Bridget/Bliss/Skinner - Although not as emphasised as Elton and Ursula, they still didn't feel like distractions. I'm sure a lot of people could relate to Bridget's grief of losing a child. The singing and the cooking also gets my approval. Jackie - I loved Camille Coduri in this episode. It was time to explain Jackie's loneliness and the effect Rose's new life has on her. I felt bad about her being duped by Elton but her seduction techniques had me in stitches. Victor Kennedy/Abzorbaloff - Not a bad character and props to the prosthetic team for bringing to life. Although not as interesting as he could've been, Peter Kay was surprisingly good in this episode. The Doctor/Rose - Not featuring them until the end was a gamble but luckily for Russell, it worked a treat. I liked the explantion of Elton's encounter with The Doctor as a child and Rose busting his chops for upsetting jackie was handled well. Brilliant episode - 9/10.

Ok so rather enjoyed this weeks episode. Thought Peter Kay was ace, as always, and funny. And not a lot of seeing the doctor which was an interesting twist, but one that appeared to work well I thought. I liked the whole LINDA idea too.

They don't but they don't have the option to punch either. With hands at least the Cybermen have the option. Choice is good!
