This character was a very minor where Gwen was pretty significant enough, so I don't think it's a big problem.

Also Noel Clarke who plays Mickey will write an episode for Torchwood.

Wonder if Mickey will appear in Torchwood at some point

Maybe gwen in Torchwood is a descendant of the Gwyneth from Doctor Who Big Grin

That sounds a tad sexist. Who cares if a woman writes for Doctor Who.

Look at Desperate Housewives - most of the writers are male.

I was reffering to antonyD's comment. men can also write emotional scripts. Watch Six Feet Under if you don't believe me.

They're still men. Gay or straight really doesn't make a blinfd bit of difference, even when you're writing a show that caters largely to women (Desperate Housewives) or a more ecletic audience (Doctor Who).

As a gay man, I hate that notion that we're supposed to be more attuned to women's feelings than our straight counterparts because that's not always the case. Rant over.

As for tomorrow's episode, i'm really looking forward to it.

Plus sci-fi have an interview with director James Hawes, Billie Piper and David Tennent in their new issue and theres some interesting comments about School Reunion.

Rating wise, the magazine gave New Earth a 7/10 and Tooth And Claw a 9/10.

Yes i'm gay and I don't like to be overly defined by it.

Also The Mirror has an interview with Anthony Stewart head who reveals a little about tonight's episode.

NEWS BRIEF: Jetix Europe is in development to give the robot dog sidekick from BBC series Doctor Who (below) his very own comedy-fantasy series.

K-9 Adventures (26x30') is being developed by Jetix and UK distributor Park Entertainment, in addition to Doctor Who writer Bob Baker and designer Paul Tams. The space-set series features a mix of cutting-edge CGI technology and live action.

Michael Lekes, senior VP of programming for Jetix Europe, said he predicted the series will be particularly popular with viewers in the UK following the recent "revival and widespread popularity" of the Doctor Who series, now starring Billie Piper and David Tennant.
what is Jetix anyways?

Jetix is a kids channel on digital.

Currently seems to be the home of all the various incarnations of the Power Rangers.

Torchwood was "mentioned" again in tonight`s episode.

John Smith: So what am I then? Nothing. I`m just a story.

Doctor: You`re an echo. That`s all. A TimeLord is so much more. A sum of knowledge; a code. A shared history. A shared suffering. Only it`s gone now, all of it. Gone forever.

ok the Kriltane being allgeric to there own ill, I dont really get that, I assume they were using it to help the kids be smarter, otherwise why keep it around.

Yes that was the point, that reason why it was kept around Smile

Doctor-sara jane- i didn't know about his person so i was left confused until half way throught where she mentions the doctor, i agree that was plesant surprise- look at preview last week this look boring episode.

i agree K-9 was under-used but that at least realitic not update it?, i was disappoint with design.

Mickey- Well i asked whether he should go in Tardis last season but did you look on Rose's face when Mickey asked to go, she felt like she wasn't special. i wonder how long mickey will be traveling with them-remember museum co-ordinator only last 1 episode?.

nah! rose looked gutted because she knows there's no chance of copping off with the doctor while he's around.

although she's missed the boat IMO, i would've got on with the job last series Ninja

I did like it when DT when back to his Scottish routes last week. Smile

I wasnt bothered when I heard he was taking over the part, but he has really improved on me. I do now prefer him to CE.

Excellent episode! I loved how Rose and Sarah Jane bonded in the end. And the Doctor was so proud and pleased to see Sarah Jane. It was just lovely.

PLUS, Tony Head was fabulous. Big Grin
