my puppy is a nine week old boxer, he has been with us for two weeks now, he seems to be trying to assert dominance over my four year old daughter, he growls at her and is rough with her, uses his teeth a lot,this is not the case with me, my husband or our eight year old son, i don't have a clue how to stop him,
i always greet my daughter first when coming home and always feed her before the dog but apart from that i am at aloss.... can anyone help

Boxers are a sodding nightmare.

Maybe the dog doesn`t like small children.

What kind of environment did you get him from? were there young children in the house?

Have you watched how your daughter interacts with the dog? is she teasing it, or taking his stuff away from him.

Please be aware that just because your dog is not a Doberman, Pit Bull, or Rottweiler, it doesn`t mean that it can`t, or won`t, turn on your daughter. Even small yorkshire terriers can cause significant damage on a small child should it turn nasty.
