This is quite a random question, and I'm not sure where to post it but thought I'd give it a go here.
In 2003, I watched a documentary called 'Cutting Edge: Child Sex Trade'. It was filmed mainly in Romania and followed the lives of street children in Bucharest who are forced into prostitution.
I remember being totally shocked and horrified by this, but I didn't know how I could do anything to help, and as is generally the case, tried to put it to the back of my mind.
Since then, however, I've found myself thinking about it a lot. I remember one of the boys in it had tried to kill himself by setting himself on fire when he was twelve, and I can't get this out of my head.
If anyone knows anything about this, particularly what happened after the documentary was aired (ie. was anything done to help them?) I would really like to hear about it. It was so long ago and I wish that I'd followed it up at the time and actually done something myself - I wish I'd just flown over there to help!
So, ANY information would be much appreciated.
Thank you
