I'm inclined to think, and in the absence of any confirmation from the person who moderates on this thread and even throws us a morsel every three months or so, that we're not going to see NYPD BLUE in April. If we were, believe me, they'd be bragging about it, big time. So you folks who might have claimed to have had conversations with people IN THE KNOW, may have been misled.
Meanwhile the wait goes on.
Trust me. They'd rather show another dollop of big brother than let us have our NYPD BLUE back....

Last time NTPD Blue came back it didn't have much of build up from the folks at Channel 4, so hang on to your hat for a little while, Peejayh.

Can't believe there is still no news. RTE have, of Friday past, now finished showing S11. In my opinion it was the best season yet, but seeing as the rest were screened so long ago, my memory maybe cloudy. C4 get your finger out.

Just got a Region 1 copy of Season 3 on DVD.
So that's my viewing for the next couple of weeks sorted! :-)
Let's hope that by the time I finish watching it C4 have decided when to show the next season.

Everytime I switch on E4 - repeats of Friends, More4 - repeats of Relocation or Grand Designs. Come on, put something original on. Like, I don't know, NYPD Blue.

BBNBN !!!

Last night I watched episodes 19 and 20 from season 3...

Episode 19: Sylvia goes into labour and a nervous Andy 'gowns up' to be at the birth. Andy JR waits outside the delivery room... Theo is born and there's a rare moment where the grouchy Sipowics smiles. He goes outside and tells Andy JR. 'I'm gonna be spending more time with him because he's just a little baby but it doesn't mean that I love you any less'. There's a casual embrace between father and son...they pull away from one another because it's not the Sipowics way, but then Senior holds Junior tightly and then the credits roll.

Episode 20: Simone and Sipowics are at the hospital. There's been a robbery and a witness who they question has been injured. Simone goes to the bed next door where another witness hasn't been so lucky...it's Andy JR and he's dead... Andy deals with it...he tells his ex wife Katie and he tells Sylvia...he makes the funeral arrangements and he hits a bar...the camera pulls back slowly and throughrain and a misty bar window we see Andy lining up whiskeys and knocking them back. The credits roll.

It's NYPD Blue and it deserves to be shown on British TV. Pull your finger out Channel 4 and start showing the best US drama ever made again.
