I haven't even seen Skins yet but I can't escape it. It's in my face in bus shelters, billboards and on TV. When the human race is in such a terrible state as we see on the news every day, why must we all be assualted with closeup images of hedonistic teenagers? This is pure escapism from reality: Fine, show the drama, it might even be good if its written by Paul Abbot of Shameless; but why the advertising image overload? The advertising industry has no shame, what we should be seeing is more important dramas and documentaries on Channel 4. E.g. Unreported World and Dispatches, and less home makeover shows. And for God's sake lets see some honest programmes on climate change!!!

My feelings exactly. The scripts are quite funny, though- the one in Russia made me laugh out loud a few times.
and another thing why dont they ever get ID'd for drink? everytime i see them drinking i think "theyre not old enough to drink!" or is that just me getting old?
I love Skins, but i think it would be better if it showed a couple of teenagers who weren't involved with drugs and drink... like Sid i guess... not all of us teens are inebriated all the time! [i've never been drunk!] there needs to be another teen show which has less sex, drugs and drink, or at least one that shows how incredibly stupid and pointless it is to do all that at 15. which is why i'm writing my own sitcom
