The fifth series was shown in its entirety last November/December. There aren't any plans to resume the repeats we started earlier this year.

It's doing very well- occasionally topping 2 million, and well up on our average figures for that slot.

I usually pop on to see what's being asked, and what you're talking about. And to make sure you're all playing nicely, of course!

Lack of ratings...mainly due to the stupid timeslot. Surely you're not that shocked, Channel 4 dropped it after the first season!

Re: Third Watch By morning slot,do you mean morning as in 12pm-ish or morning post 12am. If you plan it for daytime I really do not see how you could show the premiere. The amount of blood and gore in it caused it to have a viewer discretion warning when it aired in America. The amount of cuts will probably turn a 45 mins ep (not including ads) into a 25 min ep.

Very true Eoin,if c4 were to show the first 2 eps of season 6 "third watch" in a daytime slot, well they could easily fit both in a 40 minute slot with all the cuts required(as u,me and other irish viewers know from seeing them already).

Okay, here's a classic example of why we only confirm scheduling two weeks in advance, and why I always use such cautious language when indicating possible transmission plans; Third Watch series six has now dropped off the December schedule. It could easily reappear, or move somewhere else, but the updated situation is that we haven't settled on a slot for this at present. Alias- Yes, I was jokily feigning shock at Five's decision to drop this. After all, even though I had been under the impression that they were a channel with exactly the same economic imperatives as every other commercial broadcaster, I was informed in the strongest terms on this forum that (unlike Channel 4, apparently) Five "recognise quality shows", "treat their audience with respect", and were generally streets ahead of us in their approach to acquired programmes. Obviously the show still has fans and it's sad that they've been disappointed, but the fact is that no channel can afford to continue to acquire loss-making shows. Deal Or No Deal- For those who expressed an interest in this show's success, yesterday's edition equalled Ready Steady Cook's average of 2 million, and peaked well ahead at 2.6 million for the final 15 minutes.

not really suprised, i wasn't too hopeful in the first place. Channel 4's thoughts: the viewers want to see it, so scrap it from the schedules and keep them crying for it to return. Ethan.
