Whats with this adult channel that has been advertised C4ve? Any hints of the sort of programmes we can expect there? Is it suitable for the impressionable young minds of some of our forum members?

Before you laugh in the face of what you call stupidity, Try to understand that alot of people are unaware of more4 at all, so would conclude that it maybe a porn channel. the advert certainly gives the impression

i mean surely, your not seriously suggesting, that the advert potrays a channel that will have homegrown documentries, american dramas and political live shows?

Well not a porn channel... more like what late night channel 5 used to be like.

In fact when I first saw the advert, I turned to my mum and said maybe they would be relaunching Eurotrash there.

Perhaps this was all C4's ploy to get people talking about it.

Oh and by the way, I REALLY take offence to being called stupid. Especially from someone who hardly leaves the house and cant even string a sentence together. As a teacher that is a word that I never use, because it is very rarely true and it completely demeans the person. Think more carefully before you speak in future. That is a very powerful word.

I wasnt asking him the question. He didnt need to answer. And there's a line to be drawn when being sarcastic... the one where you might think what you have said was hilarious but other people are actually hurt by it. And let him speak for himself bala.

Hmm, you should be more careful about how you write things. Saying "how could anyone be so stupid" rather than "how could you be so stupid".

And yes, it is silly (not stupid) to think that C4 would have a porn channel. But there are other adult programmes that are not porn, but have content that is not suitable for younger viewers, for example Eurotrash. I would not call expect an adult channel to be full of nice American dramas like ER. So given the advert, which you yourself have seen... you can see why some people might have got confused.
