C4VE, any clearer indications of when season 8 of Charmed will air? It finishes on Living next week so will you be showing it straight after?

Nothing we can confirm as yet, but still planned for this summer.

Editing- I can't comment on regulations elsewhere in Europe, but our programmes are edited by experienced professionals with in-depth knowledge of Ofcom regulations. Channel 4 absolutely do not censor programmes beyond this legal obligation. In fact, I went to those responsible for this for clarification. This is a verbatim account of the exchange: C4VE- "Can you confirm that it's our policy only to edit to ensure we're within Ofcom guidelines, rather than that we've somehow come over all Mary Whitehouse?", Acquisitions Editor- "Yes, absolutely." I think this is as clear as we can make this issue, and I'm afraid there isn't likely to be anything further we can add.
Thank you for your further reply, and the efforts you have made to gain clarification. Unfortunately, I am convinced that your ‘experts’ are wrong. If this censorship is necessary, why did C4 show the uncensored version of “The Idiots”, yet a specially censored version of ”Sex and Lucia”, even though both contain explicit, actual sexual activity, and both have uncut 18 certificates? Also, Ofcom did not uphold complaints made about the uncut broadcast of “The Idiots”. Unconvinced, I contacted Ofcom, and apart from encountering predictable bureaucratic obfuscation, crucially, they did not disagree with my assertion that this censorship was unnecessary to comply with their Broadcast Code. Further, they said it was entirely up to the broadcaster to decide which version (censored or uncensored) of a programme, movie etc, that they show. They also said that C4 had not sought or received any advice from Ofcom stating that these censored versions must be shown. May I respectfully suggest that your ‘experts’ contact Ofcom for clarification/confirmation of the actual situation, so that this unnecessary ‘nannying’ of the adult audience can be ended? I am particularly worried that C4’s pro-censorship stance will result in Film Four FTA being censored, apparently ignoring rule 1.21 from Ofcom’s code, that allows 18 certificate movies to be shown on any channel, after the watershed.

I think you need to re-evaluate your Ad breaks for ER... They are in the most random places..
One night, we only had 8 mins of the program before we had the first ad break, then the final was was on at 9:45 - 4 mins of break, and then back to ER for another 4 mins before the End credits!!!
didn't you learn anything with the lost Advert breaks???!!! ok not necessarily the length, but the the location of them..
Ethan.
C4, we're still no further forward with this. Some weeks you put them all where there's a natural break which are at the same point each week, so everything in the garden is rosy, and the next week you move them around so the 118 Shouty Idiots come a split-second after a scene so there's no time to reach for the mute before they shout at us. Once you've found something that works, why do you keep messing around with it?
Are you looking into this C4VE person, or ignoring it?

i was told by a friend to watch a brilliant programme on ch4 a few weeks ago, about a man who had been told by his lover that he would be left money in his will, but wasn't. this man had basically been a rent boy for this guy for 25 years, and was in charge of a house in blackpool where people went for sex...can someone PLEASE tell me what it was called and if it will be repeated/if i can get a copy of it?

The Ghost Whisperer is still expected to start on E4 this summer.
Joshthedog- That was Me And My Slaves.
HomerSimpsoy- We don't have a statement on that, and are rarely able to comment on specifics. I recommend that you direct your feedback to the Viewer Enquiries department, where it will be logged appropriately.
Twin Peaks- We don't have the rights to this (apart from the movie). I believe the series originally went out on BBC2.
Six Feet Under- No repeat plans.

Morning C4, with most of the current seasons having nearly finished - will the 9 Things over the summer be repeats or new shows (such as Reunion)? Also do we have air dates for Sugar Rush yet?
