Anyone know how much Geordie won yesterday? He seemed to have a terrible start!

Geordie took the last deal offered to him right at the end- £20.

sorry its took me a while to reply, I've been away on hol! I think the banker "MR BLOBBY" was so unfair with GEORDIE and a lot of people agreed about this on Century Radio the other day, so what if he was "cocky" like mrs diddy thought he still deserved to be treat the same as everyone else!

Firstly i'd like to start of by saying i love this show. i have a question.. Lucy new contestant i think she arrived last week looks very familiar and its bugging me, does anyone remember her from a commercial perhaps . Every time i see her i thing of oven chips or it could be something with wings......
**: Hey, hey, hey. Come on. I know what guilt is. It's one of those touchy-feely words that people throw around that don't really mean anything... You know, like "maternal" or "addiction." **

I must admit, our Noel started to grate on me a bit after a couple of weeks of the show, and I thought, by now, I'd be tearing out my hair, but it hasn't worsened. Good on you Noel. I'm sure it's because the majority of the time he *is* being himself. One thing I think would help to make the programme even better would be to get us more involved with the contestants -- ideally as much as they appear to be involved with themselves; like a large family. I know it would enhance the show for me. There was one guy from some while back who rubbed me up the wrong way. A cocky bugger who, when offered a substantial amount of money to deal, said he could earn that on just one of his commissions! I can't remember what he won, but I was hoping it was only a penny :-) R Y

D'you know what makes me cringe about this show: When they all hold hands as one of them opens a box! Statistically, it has made no difference whatsoever to the outcome -- sometimes it's a low number, sometimes it's a high one. Oh well! R Y

I know what you mean Roy about the holding hands ceremony. Almost as daft as everyone clapping every time someone opens a box!!! But I agree with you that it is important for the viewer to get to know more about the player before they get into that hot seat. It gives the show more substance.

EXTRA 15-MINUTES TONIGHT - SATURDAY - 19.10-20.10 I've noticed that tonight's show is billed between 7.10 and 8.10pm. The following two Saturdays are also billed as one-hour shows. So what is going to happen in the extra 15-minutes I wonder?
|
| |
|

|
hopefully nothing changes in the format, with the extra 15 minutes.
my guess - more ads, and more chat with the box-openers - 2 hours of recording are heavily edited down to the current 37-38 minutes

I'm hooked on Deal No Deal and am pleased it is repeated on More4 (6.10pm), so can watch it then if I've forgotten to record it. At first I wasn't sure about Noel Edmunds, however I now think he's just right, he camps it up a bit now and then, he gets serious and thoughtful when he needs to, he does remind them when they need it that the bankers offer is real money and the numbers are only what could/might be and not based in reality at the moment of the bankers offer. So you think anyone will ever win the 250k? After all look what happened to that woman who took 20k and had the 250k in her box, it's such a gamble isn't it .. and no one wants to join the 1p club! ______________________________________________________________________ ,. ,.

> So you think anyone will ever win the 250k? It'll depend on: The two remaining amounts and how much the contestant is willing to bet. For instance, if the final two boxes contain £250,000 and £100,000 it's a no brainer. I'd be prepared to bet that most people would bet on £35,000 as the lowest amount? I enjoyed Tuesday's (was it Tuesday?) show. The guy who looked like the lead singer of the Fine Young Cannibals. He missed out on the ultimate. R Y

Sarah's lovely isn't she! And Barbara, from what I've seen of her, is an absolute **cracker**, I think. R Y

It's also on More4+1 an hour later too! I love this show too, but I feel like they're manipulating the Saturday show to include big drama and characters.

Yes, Kat, I was thinking the same thing re the Saturday show. Still enjoy it though. At first I thought they might choose the best of the week's recordings to show on Saturday, but Noel does refer to the day during the show. Haven't noticed the mugs, doc. R Y

Nice mugs Just to say, one of the main reasons I'm tuning in to watch the whole show now is to watch other contestants -- especially Barbara, he he! I wonder how many other people are like me and would like to find out more about them?

Typical, bloody typical. I forget to tune in today until after 4.45pm, and then find it was the **gorgeous** Barbara in the hot seat. Aah well I think to meself, I've only missed 15-minutes, at least we have another half-an-hour until 5.15 -- forgetting that everything's back to normal this week! Then to top it all, I find she's with her 'man', so I get all jealous as well. Not watching any more! R Y

Hi Roy - remember me?? I posted on the old Tykes Shed the other day, asking if anyone had seen you around - don't know why, just started wondering about some of the 'old crew' I've never watched D or N D but maybe I should - sounds fascinating!

I've just got round to watching Barbara's game, and I'm feeling very sad for her. It's always worse when the players you like get the bad luck...

It seems not!! I've been around the whole time, just been caught up on a BB6 forum - not enough time to visit them all! For ages I couldn't get into Tyke's Shed - does anyone still use it? I'd actually forgotten about this forum (naughty girl) and when I saw your name the other day I had to drop by and say 'Hi' - and I also thought that if you like D or N D - I probably would too

Okeydokey, here's the scenario: You have a choice of two boxes; one is in front of you and one is with one of the contestants in East Wing. One box contains £1,000, and the other £100,000, and you don't know which is which. The Banker rings Noel and offers you £28,000 for the box in front of you. Do you deal?
