Is Channel 4 et al contracted to show repeats of Friends, endlessly until the next millennium?

How may times can they repeat the same programme?

I like Friends, but even I don't want to see it everytime I turn over to E4.

Come on E4; surely you can do better than that?

indeed, why bother taking spaced, los dos bros, that peter kay thing, green wing etc etc. out of storage when you can flog friends to death

I grew up with Friends and am (or was) an avid Friends fan, but I would agree. There is two eps on 5-6 and then the same eps on 8-9, and yet C4 seems to keep repeating Simpsons episodes, which is good, but I'd prefer new ones.

I completely agree. Myself and my boyfriend are avid friends fans but everytime we're channel flicking and he puts E4 on I complain! Plus, as the above poster said, it's not just the fact that they repeat episodes to death....but they repeat the same ones on the same day! So even if you are looking for some lazy viewing you could've watched the same one 3 hours before!

I have the boxset now so I dont care when or where its showed but yes I think they should show other stuff

and also i watched 1 episode the other day and it had been edited that much it made no sense at all it was pointless showing it

Oh I love Friends! It's a show that consistantly makes me laugh and is one E4's daily highest rated shows. They may be old but why fix them if they ain't broken?!

interesting scrubs is re run loop on e4 every day but dosen't get same reaction.

I guess it's just because Friends is on *so* much - It's always on T4 and E4...and repeated a lot. I spose it's good for some easy-watching tv lol

you know you have watched it too much when you say their lines before they do, and given the number of times its shown this is easy!

friends is my alltime fav show,i have them allon dvd and still never tire of the repeats on E4, on most episodes i know most of the lines but it still never fails to entertain me,i say keep em coming

u find urself going 'oh, not again' then you watch for few minutes and find it's one of your fave eps and you keep watching......

Watching it today and although I have seen them episodes before they still make me laugh

oh yea i love freinds they always make me laugh even thou i may have watched the same 1 before but it still works every time. but i still think that they could make more episodes.
surley they cant honestley think they can get away with showing the same 1's over an over again.
i still enjoy them thou.

is it that the american stuff is cheaper to repeat than the quality british comedy?

since a lot of US comedy can run to 9-11 seasons c4 must like idea of constant supply of shows for morning on c4 and on e4.
