Just because she is doing theatre now, she has adopted (or rather had extensive elocution lessons) an accent that would be at home with the Queen.
I've always liked her so i always watch talk shows with her on and her accent has always been a bit like Rose on Dr Who. I have gone right off her now she is trying to be something she is not. Maybe its cause shes got a posh bf, which makes it even worse!
I don`t see a problem with someone trying to improve they way they speak.
I cringe when I hear dropped "H"s, or silent "T"s. Or sounding FFs or VVs when it should be a TH.
I think Billie should be congratulated, not derided.

i wish i had less of an accent, then i wouldn't feel such a fraud for pulling my daughter up about her sloppy speech. she doesn't watch much telly but all childrens TV continuity people have strong accents and shocking grammar. kids don't stand a chance.

Billie looked embarrased to be on the show and you can't blame her. The only thing I liked about last series was the theme tune and now it's changed so I shall not bother watching anymore, it's pi ss poor.
