was watching this last night on s4c, these women were mad feeding their kids till about 8 years old, anyone else watch it?

that was shocking ! Yuk ..

I did with my twins (sorry guys ) in the early months but did not exceed a few months .

a 7 year old running to the breast at any time was unbelievable.

its like bitty off little britain

each to their own, i fed mine till she weaned herself at nearly a year. breast is best and all mums should at least try feeding.

but i think that feeding into school age is more about the emotional needs of the mother than the needs of the child.

in nature a baby would only be fed for a year or two because the next one would have come along by then. most animals have a cut off point for feeding.

saying that, i never watched the program. this is just my opinion.

i think they said in many other countries feeding is much more extended actually.. what you also maybe get is older siblings sharing the new milk produced 'for' the new baby.

hsb couldn't stand the women on it... they were odd... or they were unsympathetically edited. the one with twins never put them away... and the husband with the tight smile!!! 'getting used to it'...... lol

i agree with you about the needs of the mothers... but also like you.. i wouldn't want to judge. I fed mine to a year, more or less.

i say we do judge these women, and condem them to hell

but then you would...cos you're a twonk.
