How do they make those torches they keep using - I mean how do you keep a stick burning at one end?

It's bonfire night soon - anyone want to give it a go?

It's slow burning oil i think...and the cloth is soaked in it. They probably aren't as hot as normal fires, but burn longer?

yeah, its good TV. They had torches in the beginning until the batteries ran out - so that was good continuation. i like torches!

Father Ted made earwax candles once from Father Jack's earwax if that helps

Also in the book Signs of Life (novel based on Lost) John Locke made candles out of boar fat
