Spoiler-free FAQ - Some helpful information. Q. Are Spoilers allowed on this forum?A. No, this is a spoilerfree forum and we try our best to keep things we post at C4 pace.Q. What is 'C4 Pace'?A. C4 Pace are the episodes which have alredy been shown on C4.Q. Are we allowed to discuss E4 episodes?A. The generally accepted answer is no. The Mods have created this forum for C4 episodes only and many of us [despite also being E4 viewers] are happy to abide by that rule. Of course it may be hard to keep quiet about the upcoming E4 epsiode and lets face it E4 spoilers do sometimes slip out by mistake. If you accidently let something about an E4 episode slip as long as it is a genuine mistake most people are very understanding and will not hold it against you, as we all make the odd mistake afterall. It would be nice however if you did report it and ask for that post to be removed for the C4 viewers benefit.Q. What do I do if I see a spoiler and how can I warn others?A. If you see a spoiler [unfortunate as it is] please report it to the moderators by clicking the triangle icon at the bottom right hand corner of the offending post. This will bring up a text box where you can inform the mods why you have reported this post. Please also notify other posters of the spoiler threat by posting a spoiler warning in the A.S.S. thread [Anti Spoiler Socity].Q. Ive heard the term 'Troll' bieng used. What is it?A. A Troll is forum terminology used to describe those who ruin or aim to spoil the forum intentionally. Often trolls purposefully reveal spoilers or generally cause trouble on the forum.Q. How do I edit my Sig?[COLOR]A. Click on the 'Go' icon near the top left handside of the page and then: 'My Space' - 'Profile' - 'View/Edit/Complete Profile' - then go to the signature text box and away you go.
Furthermore your sig accepts basic HTML codes such as:[/COLOR] [ /COLOR] - For colour text
[ /B] - For bold text
[ /I] - For italic text
[Sub] [ /Sub] - For smaller text
Of course remove the spaces in the last bracket to make it work.
[B]Q. What is the Search Icon for?
[COLOR:RED]A. The search icon is a very useful feature as it allows you to type in key words and search for topics, threads etc. It is advisable to use this feature before you create a new thread as often a subject which you want to discuss has already been created. Therefore by using the seach feature this cuts down on duplicate threads and also helps improve the forum by keeping it tidy and lightens the load on the forum server which in turn enables pages load quicker etc.
However it is ok to restart an old topic or subject which hasnt been discussed for a while or if you cannot find a thread which relates to something you wish to discuss etc. Q. How do I get more stars?A. Basically the more you post, the more stars you will accumulate. For further info about your stars please see the 'Karma' section under your 'profile'.Q. How do I get/change my avatar?A. Similar to changing you sig, just go to the 'Go' section - 'My Space' - 'Profile' - 'View/Edit Complete Profile' - Avatar Edit - Choose Avatar.Q. What is the A.S.S?
The A.S.S stands for Anti Spoiler Society. It was started by KoR-evo and everyone is welcome to join. If a person comes across a spoiler (in any of the three forums) they can post it in the A.S.S topic and we will complain to the mods and hopefully, it will be removed quicker
What is the DOL?
The DOL stands for Disciples of Locke. It is a group of people who believe in the teachings of the character John Locke. We defend him if he is slated by people, or if his actions are questionable.
DOTS
Disciples of The Super-Doc. Same as the DOL but for Jack.
COL
Has apparently disappeared. Stands for Cynics of Locke. The opposite of the DOL.
Anyone is welcome to join the A.S.S/DOL and I assume the DOTS and COL have simaler open-door policies for anyone who believes in their core views.
The only thing left to say is that, please can you sign the Anti-Spoiler Manifest so that we know we can trust you.
Well, actually, the only thing left to say is welcome and have fun!
So thats it, basically the main thing is to have fun, enjoy yourself on the forum by chatting, theorising and debating with other Spoiler-free Lost enthusists. Dont forget that if you dont feel like debating etc you can still have fun by simply chatting in the hi/bye, participating in the numerous forum games and 'fun' topics that are on the forum, sharing your Lost related stories etc with the forum etc etc..

Wow another great sticky! Very good last post there Roco, especially including the definition of a troll - a lot of people use such a word and it's even mentioned in the forum rules [as in don't feed the trolls], but people may not know exactly what one is. I hope any new posters, as well as existing ones, find this thread useful, and that it will be a good place to ask any questions you may have. And one again welcome to the forum to any new posters that have recently joined, either from scratch or come from another forum, and also to anyone reading this and thinking of joining.
