I was gonna post this in the LC, and I still am, but as that's down i'll post it here to start with.

Chapter 1

The passengers of British Airways flight 6234 began boarding the impressive Boeing 747 that stood out on the runway of Heathrow airport, in the glorious early morning sunshine of this Monday in late December. A chill breeze blew through the tunnel that lead the passengers to the plane, giving them an unnecessary reminder of why most of them were leaving the wonderful British weather to spend Christmas in Australia. One by one, they boarded, feeling that once the plane took off, they could finally start relaxing after another stressful year had gone by. Hand luggage was loaded into the overhead compartments and there was a rush of activity as all passengers made their way to their seats. The loud cries of a couple of babies and a toddler came from various sections of the plane as everyone got settled, ready to take off. Dreams of golden beaches, giant rocks and time to unwind flowed through the minds of the exhausted passengers as they lay back in their seats. As the plane rattled along the runway and gradually lifted into the air, it was even necessary for a couple of parents to reassure their young child that, ‘Yes, we will be seeing the Wizard of Oz out there,’ just to calm him down on his first ever flight.

The ringing stopped.
“Minkowski. Hello?” came a voice from the phone on the ground.
“Who is this?” asked the man who picked up the phone.
“Who is this?” came the reply from the other end of the line.
“My name is Jack Shephard. Are you, are you on the boat, the freighter?”
“How'd you get this channel?” demanded Minkowski.
“Naomi, Naomi told us about your search team. About the boat.” informed Jack, almost breathless.
“Naomi. You found her? Where is she? Who are you?” exclaimed Minkowski, in shock.
“I'm one of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Can you get a fix on our location?” asked Jack, praying that this would be possible.
“Hell yeah we can. Sit tight. We'll be right there.”
Shrieks of joy filtered out through the group of plane crash survivors that were stood just down the hill from Jack. He turned to face Kate and could barely hold in his tears as the two of them realised that they would finally be getting off of the island.

Meanwhile, back at the beach, Hurley was trying to get the walkie working that he had lifted off of Tom. For some reason he could no longer contact Jack and the rest of the group up at the radio tower. He held it up in the air, thinking that for some reason this might make a difference. Sure enough, a strange noise started coming from the walkie and Hurley became excited that he may have got it working again.
“HEY, guys!” he called to the others on the beach, and started running towards them. But he was stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the looks on the faces of Sayid and Sawyer. They were staring into the sky behind Hurley, seemingly awestruck. It was then that Hurley realised the noise was not coming from the walkie. He turned slowly and looked up into the air and could not believe what he saw. A large aeroplane was plummeting out of the sky towards the ground at a rate of knots. The engines tried in vain to keep the plane in the air and the noises coming from them were horrific. Moments before impact, the plane disappeared behind the trees of a beach a couple of miles away from camp and out of the sight of Sayid, Sawyer and Hurley.

The wheels of the plane had been lowered as the pilot prepared for a crash landing. With great skill he had managed to steer the plane away from the jungle, where it had seemingly been heading of its own accord, and aim for the beach. As the sand got closer and closer, the pilot had time to say a quick prayer, and then… black. The nose of the plane smashed into the ground, killing the pilot instantly. Sand flew up into the air upon impact as the plane righted itself and sped along the beach uncontrollably. The wheels skimmed through the shallow water, threatening to swerve straight into the sea but just about holding the plane in a straight line. As the tree line turned, the right wing was chopped in half as it collided with them. The plane blindly made its way up a rocky slope, slowing down as it crashed into jagged boulders on either side, opening up large holes in the side of the fuselage. The co-pilot, who was barely conscious, reached over and pressed the button which lifted the wheels. The fuselage dropped, with a sudden thud, to the ground, and began skidding along the rocky surface. This slowed it down tremendously but it was getting dangerously close to the end of the rock where there was a sheer drop into the sea. It edged closer and closer, but one last final slam into the rocky wall slowed it down enough to prevent it from toppling over the precipice. Sayid and Hurley stared, open-mouthed, as the cockpit of the plane came into view over the edge of the cliff. It came to rest and Sayid and Sawyer instantly started to sprint towards the scene, along with Jin and Juliet who had ran over upon hearing the commotion. Bernard threatened to follow but thought better of it and stayed with Hurley who did not appear to be going anywhere either.
“WAIT!!! Guys!” called Hurley. Bernard’s heart sunk. The others skidded to a halt and looked back to see what Hurley wanted.
“What is it?” asked Sayid, hurriedly.
“Don’t forget we’ve got the VW! That’ll be much quicker. I’ll drive!” insisted Hurley. After a moment’s thinking, and with Hurley dashing back to the van with which he had just caused the downfall of ‘the others’, the rest of camp lostie hurried back up the sand slope they had just sprinted down and piled into the blue Volkswagen.

The people up at the radio tower stood in absolute disbelief at what they had just seen. Another plane had fallen out of the sky onto the island, and they had had a great view of it. Suddenly a voice came back over the satellite phone,
“Jack? Jack…… are you there?” Struggling to lift the phone to his ear in awe of what had just happened, Jack responded,
“Yeah I’m here.”
“We’ve pinpointed your location, can you make your way to a beach and we’ll come pick you up?” explained Minkowski.
“Sure… we’ll be there,” replied Jack, staring into the sky from where the plane had just fallen. There was a long silence on the other end of the line which was broken when a voice added,
“You’re a hero Jack.” But Jack was too far out of it to notice this extra comment. He slowly lowered the phone and turned to face his troops. The majority of them were staring straight at him, waiting for him to make a decision about what had just happened. He searched their expressions, but none of them resembled what he had hoped, that of joy. Joy that they were going to be rescued from this terrible place at last.
“You heard the man,” began Jack, “We’d better get moving to the beach so they can pick us up.”
“You’re not serious,” said Rose in disbelief. Jack gazed at her as he stumbled down the hill.
“Yeah I’m serious Rose. We’ve been on this island for way too long! It’s time to go home.” He nodded, trying to make people agree with him, but it seemed that none of them would. Looks of anguish and fury spread across their faces as Jack refused to back down. Rose shook her head in disappointment.
“You’re not seriously suggesting we go back to that wreckage?” stated Jack, “There will be no survivors. Did you see what speed that plane was coming down at?”
“You can’t fool us Jack,” replied Rose, “From what you’ve told us in the past our plane crashed at full speed. That plane, clearly, did not.”
Jack had no response to this, but tears started to seep from his eyes. All he wanted was to go home, and when the opportunity finally arose once again, yet another obstacle had arisen to thwart it.
“We can’t go now Jack, we have to help them,” continued Rose.
“OH JUST DO IT ROSE!!!” shouted Jack suddenly, through his tears, to the surprise of everyone in the vicinity, “Don’t you wanna go home?”
“Not particularly, actually,” informed Rose, completely killing Jack’s argument. He paused, dumbfounded, thinking of what to say next.
“Look, I’m gonna get the hell off this island, right now! And anyone who wants to join me, say so now… or forever hold your peace…”
There was an undeniably long silence, as no one from the large crowd of about forty people in front of Jack twitched, apart from Ben as a drop of blood slipped into his mouth.
“I’ll go,” came a voice from the crowd. Jack looked up and saw Kate emerge. He smiled gratefully and asked,
“Why are you doing this?” Kate smiled back, stepping out of earshot of the others, and replied,
“Because I love you.”

Wizzie, how good was that?!

I loved it! It's such a clever concept - having another plane heading for the island whilst our Losite are trying to escape.

It's so well written, and Sawyer was in it - wonderful! I loved it.

You're gonna write more right?! Big Grin

Chapter 2

“HELLO!?!” called Sayid from the bottom of the small cliff where the plane was teetering. They waited for a response but one was not forthcoming. Sayid looked around at the others, despondently. Not even the sound of screams of pain could be heard, like with the losties’ crash. Sawyer stared at Sayid agitatedly, waiting for him to make a decision,
“Well?” he started, “What now?” Sayid looked into the jungle behind Sawyer and answered,
“We’re going to have to go around and come in from another direction.”
“Aye aye captain,” agreed Sawyer. The six of them began to make their way towards the tree line with haste.
“Hold up a minute guys,” called out Hurley, who was already straggling behind the others.
“What is it this time Hurley?” demanded Sayid, impatiently.
“Shouldn’t someone stay with the car?” asked Hurley, secretly hoping they would say yes so that he would not have to go near any bodies.
“You and that freakin’ car!” exclaimed Sawyer, seemingly having still not gotten over his earlier argument with Kate, “Did you ever try walkin’?”
“Yeah I did!” retorted Hurley, “But then I got tired, so I ate some chicken, look where that got me!”
“Yes, good idea Hugo. You stay here with the van,” agreed Juliet, breaking up the tension. Hurley puffed his cheeks in relief of escaping another encounter with potentially a plane full of bodies. The others headed off into the jungle at once, to look for survivors.

Desmond surfaced and took a huge breath for the first time in what seemed like ages. He could not believe the first thing that caught his eye. The flaming wreckage of an aeroplane was balancing on some rocks back at shore. Extremely traumatized by everything that had happened to him in the past couple of hours, he clambered back into the rowing boat that was still sitting there on the surface of the water. After gathering his thoughts, and gazing at the wreckage in the twilight for a few seconds, he started to paddle furiously towards the shore, where he thought he could make out the shape of a car. Why there would be a car there, he had no idea, but with a plane having crashed on the island and a dodgy freighter getting closer by the minute, he had far more important things to worry about.

Hurley was sat in his beloved van, looking up nervously at the wreckage, half expecting it to fall at any moment. He bit his nails tentatively as he waited for the others to return, hopefully with news of survivors. In all honesty, Hurley was absolutely exhausted! He had been more physically active in the past twenty four hours than at any other time in his life. He could not stop himself from falling asleep. Just as his head tilted back and came into contact with the head rest, there was a sudden banging on the passenger window. Hurley jumped out of his skin, shrieking in panic as he did so, and his head slammed into the roof of the camper van. He immediately turned his injured head to see who, or what, had banged on the window. He was incredibly relieved, and surprised, to see the friendly face of Desmond. He looked absolutely drenched and exhausted. Hurley swiftly opened the passenger side door, allowing Desmond to fall in.
“HEY DESMOND!!!” cried Hurley joyously, “What’s up dude?”
“Not Penny’s boat,” murmured Desmond in response.
“What was that?” asked Hurley, anxiously. Desmond grabbed hold of Hurley’s shirt, and pulled himself up to a sitting position.
“Drive!” he ordered to Hurley.
“Hold on a sec,” started Hurley, “I’ll just have to go and tell the others. I’ll be back in a flash dude.”
Desmond did not have the energy to stop Hurley, so he decided to wait. He sunk back into his chair once more. Hurley sprinted over to the edge of the jungle and began calling out,
“GUYS!? Hey guys?!” There was no response. Hurley dreaded the prospect of entering this unexplored area of jungle by himself, and possibly coming across scattered bodies and other unpleasant or dangerous things. But he managed to overcome these fears as he knew he would have to alert the others that Desmond was back and he was leaving.
“GUYS?!” he called once more as he took one step into the jungle. Suddenly, a chill breeze blew through the area and Hurley heard strange whispers on the wind. He had heard people talking about hearing whispers before, but this was the first time he had ever experience them for himself. This one experience was enough and he swiftly turned around and fled back to the van.
“Ok we’re good to go!” informed Hurley, who looked like he had seen a ghost.
“That was bloody quick,” replied Desmond.
“Yeah well, I’m a fast runner,” explained Hurley, covering up the real reason he was back so soon. He immediately put his foot down on the accelerator to get away from the scene, and they were off.
“So where are we going?” enquired Hurley, as they bumped over sand hills.
“Right,” began Desmond, “From that station down there under the ocean, we managed to contact Penny. She hasn’t heard anything of this boat that’s approaching the island, so we need to go and warn Jack and the others that whoever these people are… they’re liars.”
“Oh right,” replied Hurley, as he tried to process all this new information he had just received. “Hey where’s Charlie?” he asked suddenly. Desmond’s heart sank. He did not want to have to tell Hurley, probably Charlie’s best friend, about what had happened to him, but he knew he had to. He looked across at Hurley solemnly, and Hurley’s face dropped.
“I’m really sorry brother,” consoled Desmond, putting his hand on Hurley’s shoulder. Tears began to leak from Hurley’s eyes, and his face tightened in anger and dismay.
“How did it happen?” asked Hurley, desperately.
“Our one-eyed friend turned up, and blew one of the windows with a grenade, flooding the room. Charlie closed the door so I would be safe. He died to save us, he died a hero.”
At first Hurley was even more upset by this description of how events panned out, but then he realised… Desmond was the one to blame. They had the one-eyed man captured when they were with Naomi. Charlie had said they should not let him go, but Desmond had let it happen, even after they realised he had tried to steal their satellite phone. Hurley looked across furiously at Desmond, who did not know what was going through Hurley’s mind. Hurley also suddenly remembered that Desmond could see the future, and had probably seen Charlie’s death, and still let it happen. Hurley could no longer see the point in living. His best friend on the island was dead, and some evil people were coming to the island for some reason that he did not particularly want to find out.
“You’re a bad man, Des,” sobbed Hurley.
“What?” asked Desmond, confused.
“YOU’RE A MONSTER!!!” shouted Hurley, right in Desmond’s face.
“What the hell are you talkin’ about brother?” queried Desmond, becoming agitated.
“It doesn’t matter,” replied Hurley, “It’s over now anyway.”
“Yeah, it is,” agreed Desmond, not completely understanding what Hurley meant. The van approached the losties’ camp at high speed, and Hurley knew what he had to do.
“D’you wanna slow down a bit, brother?” asked Desmond.
“No, it’s fine,” replied Hurley, as the van crashed through a tent. A look of determination and passion came across Hurley’s face as he put his foot down even further on the accelerator.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING BROTHER???” cried Desmond, leaning over towards Hurley.
“What has to be done,” replied Hurley. The van crashed through tent after tent, until eventually it arrived at the tent where Jin had failed to explode the dynamite during the raid by the others. Hurley glared over at Desmond, moments before impact.
“Goodbye brother,” he said. A look of sheer horror came across Desmond’s face as Hurley steered the van into the dynamite.

As night approached, John Locke crept towards the strange little hut that Ben had taken him to a few nights previously. He walked cautiously up to the door, and knocked three times. There was no response, so John slowly entered. Even though the light of day was just outside, the room remained completely dark, and it was hard to see anything inside. He stared intently at the rocking chair, where Jacob had apparently been sitting. He was about to open his mouth to say something, when someone else got there first.
“Welcome back John,” croaked a quiet, eerie voice from the chair. John looked slightly scared, but remained unmoved. He did not flee as he had done last time, because this time, there was no possibility that this was a trick.
“I came to ask for your help,” declared John. There was a long pause, and the creatures of the night could be heard outside.
“Unfortunately John, it is I who needs your help,” replied the voice. John raised his eyebrows, surprised and confused by this latest comment from the invisible phantom.
“How can I help you, if I cannot see you,” asked John, nervously. Suddenly, there was a tap on John’s shoulder. He swiveled, to see the figure of a man standing there. Dressed in rags, the man had long grey hair and a beard. It was Jacob.
“Come John, we have work to do.”
