I dont feel that Ethan made trail to lead them to the hatch, the trail ran out and Locke was following his nose so to speak. Rouseau also said that she hadnt seen it before in her life (but she could be lying) and by the looks of things and given her story she isnt an other. If the hatch is meant to put two and two together and one of them is meant to get sick then it could be 'incident' and computer related perhaps? Perhaps a missed button press?
My theory in my GUT around these pages (maybe on the later ones) is that the sickness is manufacured has a weapon from the scince side against the faith side which I feel is still a possablity.

Hey esn I keep seeing mention of your theory in your GUT.
What is this? are you saying its your GUT theory or are you saying there is somewhere where we can read your theory? OOOO ok I know that makes little sense but I'm not sure how else to put it.

Bascially my GUT - Grand Unified Theory was an attempt to explain everything that happens in Lost. There were many attempts to explain invidual things like the numbers and the sickness etc but nothing to link them all toegether, which is what I attempted to do with my GUT. Another way to look at it is one massive ramble, which basically how I wrote it anyway. It only contains s1 but ill write a new one once season 2 has finished. Ill also do a retropective look back at it and start thinking up ideas in a new thread after eppy 13 of s2 Ill bump it up for you if you like.
