Did that happen? I don't remember Dr. Christian Shephard being in that scene. If he was, he could have treated Adam Rutherford while Jack was treating Sarah.

I'm pretty sure Christian had nothing to do with that scene. Jack had to choose for himself between Sarah and Adam.
In fact, I think he was going to leave Sarah to someone else so he could treat Adam, but none of the other medical staff were qualified (allowed) to drain the fluid out of Sarah's lungs (or whatever it was). It was while Jack was doing that, that Adam died.

Are you confusing that incident with some other medical scene with Jack and Christian?

A:In answer to your question, he was buying a tie. No lie, it's on the S1 DVD edxtras under deleted scenes, i thought it was actually quite interesting as i was wondering the same thing.

A:They don't climb the ladder, they go through the main doors that lead out into the jungle. In fact in live togethor die alone part 2 it's clear that the ladder route hasn't been used since the very start of S2
