I think she gains comfort from having a gun. She loves being in control, and I guess having a gun gives her that control  *wishes to be held at gun point by AL*

Mind you the fact she needs a gun to maintain control is also a sign that she has lost control. Weve seen that she can lost control and perspective very easily and is very tempermental. AnaL is very unstable with a gun.. But I did feel a certain amount of empathy for her watching her flashback..I can understand why she is like it..After the others taking half their people..The gun made her feel safe and in control again..It gave her a feeling of being an in control officer again...

I think AnaL feels safer when she has a gun in her hands, though she's probs more likely to get hurt herself with a gun.

Yeah , I agree with you lot . I think she just has a certain feel of comfort when holding a gun . She feels like she holds all the power with a gun in her hands . However , she really didn't need to be holding that gun in ' Collision ' . She could've handled the situation much better I think .

I think that the one time she let her gun/guard down was when she trusted Jason, then he shot her and left her for dead, and killed her baby. So maybe her gun is a comfort or strength to her??

So far she's only had a gun when she's taken it off someone else in conflict. I don't blame her, after getting shot an' all.
Before that all she had was a stick and a bit of plane shapnel, i know what choise of weapon i'd go for.
