well I dunno if it got more popular later on, but apparently the ratings on the first night were something like 200,000 - less than shameless repeats!
and skins was like 2.9 million!

still think it is worth while for all them people who do like it and with a little bit better advertising this time maybe they will pull more in,you have to admit the advertising of NF compaired to skins was terribe and tbh i wasnt sure what date or time it was on to begin with which is why i missed the first 2 episodes lucky i caught up and loved it so much!

yeh but does it get enough ratings? if it was on earlier then maybe but it won't ltet it get ratings becos of the time

i watched every single episode and i'm not gonna sign any petitions. some scenes were really good and had you on tenderhooks but then they hit you back down with a mallet...nothing ever got resolved....lets be honest, the ending was rubbish!...i liked it i suppose but i dont think there needs to be a second series and i doubt the actors involved will want to especially the girl who played lila who is in the new st. trinians film int she?
i sound like some horrid critic here and i did like it! i just dont think it was half as good as it could've been and i'm surprised they aired the whole series cause i didnt think many people would be watching it.
i read somewhere it was better than skins though and was amazed someone out there actually thought that....

yes Talulah Riley (Lila) is in the new St Trinians film and i dont agree that Nearly Famous was as good as/or better than Skins whoever said that was of their rocker, but i still think it was fab and well worth another series, but we are each entitled to our own opinions.

I think it could have been better than skins becuase had a really good idea (drama school) and some inteeresting, indepth and not sterotypical, characters who you cna relate to (at least for me)more than hte skins kids even though I love them and hteir mad ways, lol! it's also more 'tame' than skins and maybe nicer, but it was nowhere near exciting enough and the academy place was nowhere near as interseting nad cool as it could've been! so it disappointed me in that way

some peopel got put off skins straight off and then may have liked nearly famous as kept on watching it - dunno why theyd prefer to ksisn otherwise

I really hope there is gonna be a series 2. I thought it was awesome.

I really, really do hope there is going to be a new series. Although with an ending like that i'm not sure how they'd go about it.
I do not think that this can be compared to Skins as they are completely different, this doesn't follow as many different storylines and is more dramatic, Skins focuses on a few different stories and the series aspect is a small part but still

new series will be extremely popular now as i think more people have watched on 4OD as they didnt realise it was a series. now they've seen aaron and tilulah in other things people will take interest, thats how i did

Yeah, I agree, the drama school could have been used better and made more interesting, like, if they had a major project or something, like a production for that actress character.

i just finished watching nearly famous today. i'd never even heard of it until a few days ago so it mustn't have been promoted very well.

i actually thought it was quite good, but i can't really compare it to skins because i've only ever seen a few episodes of the second series of skins.

the past few days ive been looking around for an aaron johnson fansite and well... there dont seem to be many around, if anyone would be interested in helping me with one let me know.
