I've had plenty of those emails and simply delete them! In no way should you click any link or give the details they require, because then you would succumb to the scam! It has been going around for ages and well known so simply delete it and ignore it...

i hate to shout but must get point across - THIS IS AN ATTEMPT AT MONEY LAUNDERING!! EVEN IF YOU GO INTO IT INNOCENTLY, YOU MAY GO TO JAIL IF DISCOVERED!! i am an auditor and have to do a training course on this every few months. if your accountant notices something like that in your accounts they HAVE to report you but MUST NOT tell you that they suspect something.

main point (on all aspects of life really) IF IT SEEMS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE - IT IS!!

thanks Smile

And of course an attempt to take your moeny too.

You will probably be asked to pay monies up front (after which you wil never hear from them again).

And any bank account that you give them details of will be cleaned out.

Blue Ranger I realise you understand what this is, but I'm at a loss myself as to who you can pass the email on to.

I've had about 3 of these e-mails, all from different email addresses - all along the same lines - all i need is to put money in your bank account and will give you 35K - all they need is my bank account number/sort code, the one i received last week only wanted my fax number so they could fax me the details
I give them a good 'binning' as once they have my account details lord alone knows what they'll do with them
I wonder if anyone has taken them up on the offer? Ninja

Some people do. My mother works for Consumer Direct and they get stupid people phoning up asking about that sort of thing, the Spanish lottery, etc, all the time. Eek

the email mentioned at the start of this thread doesn't seem to be an attempt at any kind of theft. you can't steal from an account with just the bank details - it's not worth the work.

these people already have their money and wish to invest it into the system as many times as possible so that it cannot be traced. i would suggest that you contact the police
