The rules state that the item must be in stock. It wasn't, it is now but at a different price etc etc
well I guess it is down to the Ed but at the end of the day the link to this website was already posted by Peachbutty so I don't see how it can be classed as a new post
So Pumpkin, if I had posted a site and then someone else used the same site but with a better price (through use of vouchers etc), would that be allowed? I guess so...
So if someone posts a site that is ineligible as the price is wrong and the item is out of stock, then surely it is allowable to use the same site with correct details?
Originally posted by Litotes: My point is that the price you originally posted was impossible kudos. I did my groundwork and found other codes, and prices and found an article for £2.50 (which has since been superceded, by an ineligible poster (grin)).
is now in stock, but only at £94.95 + £4.95 postage, but orders over £100, free delivery so if you have an article of £5.05 or more, it would be £94.95. (Same logic as kudos' post).
Well done Litotes , looks like you have the best price eligible for the prize! Although I still claim the best price (the wins more improtant to me, glad eds letting me play along! ).
I love it when you can do little tricks like this too get extra discounts. I priced a fridge freezer on Currys, it was £199, I had a 5% off code but that only took off £10 but bu adding a battery I was able to use a £20 off £200 code, it gives you a grin from ear to ear when you do this.
However I suggest you name the items you will buy along with the dolls house, there are plenty of low cost items available (I just looked), if you don't someone might say you can't find an artlicel for £5.05 and claim your win with a £6 item and althogh I would not consider it sporting after what you have said and done above I don't think you could argue if they did .

Pumpkin, nobody can claim a whole site, Litotes has found a legit way to get it for less and has beat Peachbutty's price.
The Rugy shirt was a war over who had the best code to reduce the price the most but we all used the same link.
As far as I'm concerned Litotes has a vaild claim and used a very clever (I would say that though ) method to reduce the price.
go to above link and add to basket then add http://www.abctoys.co.uk/sotn/default.php?xDep=6 first emergency vehicle at £5.40 so that gives order total of £100.35 so free delivery, making the item £94.95.
However can I just say that this is a challenge to find the cheapest dolls house not a challenge to find the cheapest dolls house plus an item that you don't want to make the price higher to get free delivery?? does that not totally defeat the purpose of trying to find the cheapest dolls house?? You are still having to pay for that extra £5.00 odd item are you not???
At £3.15 + £1.99 (£5.14) to take the value just over the £100 mark to qualify for free postage
See my above post at the end of the day is this not tecnically making the item more expensive as you are adding just to get free delivery. Defeats the point?

It does not defeat it at all, it does just what it should, it reduces the price.
The point is you dont really pay for the extra item as the cost is more than covered by the free shipping.
better still the extra free item on could be a gift or give it to charity, you can't do better than that.
The free item could even be some furniture to go inside the house.
it falsely reduces the price as it is not the true cost of the item. If you are trying to find the cheapest dolls house then having to buy extra items taking it to over £100.00 is not the cheapest dolls house then is it?

Oh I see what you mean now I did not check the figures you right Litotes best price is £100.09 so its not the best price.
Best prices are still you and me then.
Kudos1uk @ £91 but not eligible for prize
Pumpkin @ £99.50 or Litotes @ £91.50 but eligible for prize (if ed rules Litotes claim is valid)
Yes I think you are right kudos although as you said if ed allows litotes at £91.50 as theirs was just the same basically the same as your Lewis's idea. does this finish tomorrow?

It ends on Sundat 12th and all new ones start on Mondays from then on.
Sorry I got so mixed up with Litoes price, I should have checked the figures I did not expect anyone to submit a higher price??
And I posted an eligible post showing how to use the John Lewis discount code with a valid item for £91.50
coming from £99 +£2.50 item = £101.50 (So free postage) and then £10 reduction = £91.50.
Kudos had suggested that he (?she) could get down to £90 without identifying the addition £1 item - he (she?) then came back with a £2 item sohwing how to get it for £91.
So my understanding is that while kudos has a £91 deal, it is ineligible, I have a £91.50 deal using the same site, but different codes and additional item which is eligible...

We have been through this already hence:
current best:
Kudos1uk @ £91 but not eligible for prize
Pumpkin @ £99.50 or Litotes @ £91.50 both eligible for prize (if ed rules Litotes claim is valid)
I should point out I am eligible to play and win just not win the prize.
