A friend has just told me she's got a Royal Doulton 4-piece dinner service on its way after saving up 120 tokens with a newspaper - a good deal if you're buying the newspaper anyway and can remember to cut out the coupons.
I always try to pay off my credit card in full each month and cash in points for shopping vouchers, so that way I get something for nothing.
Anyone else got any tips they'd like to share - or any bargains they've seen recently. What about worthwhile freebies?
I have been selling stuff on ebay and looking at other items on offer (I know, it is addictive!). I am amazed that some people are bidding higher for stuff than they could buy it from the local shops! Either they do not take into account the postage charges, which you wouldn't pay if buying locally, or they just assume that an auction is always going to be cheaper.
I did buy a very good photograph album at a ridiculously low price!

No but I got some lovely slippers for £1 in Tesco (and 1 clubcard point. Do people ever think about the fact that you have to spend £1000 in there to get just £10 back in vouchers)
Im always searching for bargains. Its great! I pick them up on ebay and in the shops.
Got some lovely clothes from ebay with tags still on for a few quid...
Also just picked up some lovely fur cushions in town 2 for a fiver. They are great most of the shops have them for £15+ each and these arent tacky cheap fur either just a shop that sells off items for other shops.
I have to share this with you ~ although I feel a tad guilty, lol. Last week I popped into Primark just to see what they had and I spotted a lovely brown 'peasant' skirt for £15. But as I normally don't buy their clothes (usually socks, bags and cushions), I was reluctant to buy it. Anyway, my mind kept going back to the skirt, as I'm already planning my winter wardrobe, I thought it would go very well with a pair of new boots I've just bought. So on Sunday I went back to the shop ~ and lo and behold ~ the skirts were no longer there. The old stickler in me bagged a shopping assistant and asked if they were going to be getting anymore. He went off and asked somebody else, who went to a quite little corner of the shop and pulled out 'my' brown skirt! I was elated as it was the only one left. Although the label said size 10 ~ I still bought it. When I went to pay for it, they seemed unsure of the price, and eventually charged me £6.00 for it!!! I was 'mega' happy. AND the skirt fits perfectly, I am a size 14, but my friend tells me that Primark is reknowned for its labels not matching the actually size of the garment. So all I need now is a top to go with the skirt!
PS ~ Today I saw my Primark skirt in Now magazine, priced at £15.00, lol. What a bargain!
It was supposed to finish at midnight Monday, then yesterday a friend was having a look and they'd extended it to midnight yesterday, so there might be a chance they've extended again!
