Does anybody find that they are a good investment or are they usually a waste of money?

Out of the last six I've bought; five have been winners but I've only gained a total of about £30 from those 5. Is that unusual?

I've never had anything like the sort of return you've had. I think I'd keep buying them if I did but I find them a waste of money but I suppose someone has to win.

They are a complete waste of money in my opinion. They give little wins up to about 25 quid to enocourage you to buy more, ultimately, though you win very little and certainly not the big prizes

And therein lies the problem with them, some people cannot stop. Quite a lot of people build up huge debts from gambling, and this is what scratchcards are about, gambling.

I always remember an old saying "you never see a poor bookmaker".

Just remember wobble, these scratchcards are not designed to make people rich, they are designed to earn revenue. Be it for good causes or not, the only guaranteed winner is the company that issue them.

i sell around 200-300 a week we pay out around 20 prizes and most are £1 winners up to about £20

scratch cards are just a total luck of chance. you would probably be wiser to try to find a winning method on the lotto where you can be in control of the numbers you pick .........even though there are 13986816 different combinations......good luck though!

Winning the jackpot on the lottery is even more unlikely than going up to a random person and telling them what their home telephone number is.

the olympic scratchcards are the best ones i've tried in all these years. I've bought only 3 in the past 4/5 months and won nearly £80 which i think is great!

You have just been lucky.. They will print out so many cards and the winnings printed on them will always be less than the total they will all sell for.

Scratch cards are the easiest way for them to take your money and have very little enjoyment compared to people spending a night at bingo.

Gambling should only ever be about fun rather than winning because lets face it your not meant to win.

i usually have a good run on them but then sometimes i can have a bad run! i seem to have a go on the lottery alot tho lol

had 4 numbers on lottery the other day.

this is a great point what you say is a hell of a lot easier than getting the jackpot on the lotto ....it beggers belief!!!
