From buying all your presents, cards and wrapping paper in the January sales to making your own paper chains... we'd like to know you're yuletide cash saving tips.
I knew someone who went beyond buying the wrapping paper in January, and actually bought everything christmas related in January. Wrapping, tree, decorations, lights, presents...etc. She used to buy two extra presents in case she made new friends during the course of the year.
If I buy things too far in advance I usually change my mind over what I want to buy for a certain person. What seems apt in January might not seem so good a gift in December.

Thanks to everyone for the useful Yuletide tips! I've already bought Christmas cards in the sales for next time round - and a few birthday presents for the coming year.
Shameless Series 2 DVD winging its way to makeo who came up with several good tips. I especially like send presents to family friends as a family rather than one from every member of the family. That'll save some pennies!
