Do you feel pressured to spend lots of money? Do you resent paying double for a meal out on Valentine's night? What about the cost of flowers - £39.95 on Interflora for a dozen red hand-tied roses. Or is it a chance to show your loved one just how much you care and don't spare the cash?

Let us know here what you think about Valentine's Day.

Although it's a con, hubby and I both feel obliged to do something - usually just a card and a cheap practical present (eg CD or book). It's my birthday a couple of week's after Valentine's so I'd much rather he spent money on that.

Commercial rip off. I wonder if my boyfriend is expecting something for me? We certainly haven't sorted an evening out or anything.

We gave up smoking 19 years ago Valentines Day. Best present you could give any smoker. Smile

Everything is a commercial rip-off nowadays, I mean jeez, you can even get a card for any occasion saying its off the family pet! And my girlfriend saw a Valentines card today that for your, get this - Mother?? What the heck is going on, beggars belief.

I'll get her a card and flowers as usual but treat ourselves at the weekend to a proper Spa massage, not the cheapest but we both deserve it.

We have free will.

Just because we are offered over-priced goods, that doesn't mean that we have to buy them Eek.
