I am looking to start up an arcade one day and i hope this post attracts potential investors.
My idea is to rent or lease a shop and turn it in to a full scale bussness. In the area i live near Bath there are some shops available for rent and plenty of potential custumers.
To buy or rent a couple of big pay out machines will bring in the custumers. Alot of people are interested in the SLOTTO machines such as Casino and their are others.
rough guess is it would cost about £5,000 just to get enough machines and shop set up but think of the potential profits, here in Melksham 1 woman- the same woman spends each day, on one partilular day she lost 1,000, however she does win money as well.
I could see profits here soar, with added pleasures of Bingo and raffles this could be a great fun project.

Do you realise the cost of the licencing required for what you're talking about. I don't know the in's and out's myself but its costs a pub around £300 pound a month just to have upto 4 slot machines. I don't know much about it myself but I do know the cost's are hefty so make sure you check them out!

Well I dont know what happened to my post but the gist of it was It would cost a lot more than £5000 o get an arcade up and running as you need all kinds of licences and they do cost a lot of money!

There are a couple of these arcade shops here in Swindon that contain fruit machines. I've never been in there, but 99% of the time when I walk past they look empty.
