Question:
Try our survey and get Free cash! Or not?

I have to say that i have searched thousands of sites on the internet and I have done hundreds if not thousands of questionaires & surveys. Not once have I ever recieved any form of thanks either by money (as lots of them say 'FREE MONEY JUST FILL THIS IN') or products that they say they will send me. I have tried over and over with 0% success rate.

Where am i going wrong?

They say thousands of people earn hundreds of pounds a month on these web sites, I say 'RUBBISH' i think they do these surveys so that they gain more money off of us by using the information we have supplied them. So now they know what all the customers want they go ahead and sell it with no commission or anything coming to us.

Are they all wasting our time?

I truely think that these website are a big con to us, they make you promises and you get nothing. Not only that but some of these surveys are time consuming and costs us in time and effort.

Has this been the case for you?

I would like to hear from anyone who agrees/disagrees with me as i believe it is the same for all of us. If someone has found a website that really does give you things for doing a survey or questionaire which does take up your time, then i would love to hear from you and put that website to my test.

Thank you all for your time in reading this.
I look forward to hearing from you all.

Tiva

I decided to join up with this stuff when I wasn't working for a bit.

The only ones I've been paid for (if I have) are surveys from ciao. I can't honestly see how anyone has made any amount of money on them as the ones I do are typically from 65p to £1.20 each. And I haven't checked my account at ciao to see if they do actually owe me money.

I joined up, can't remember where now, because it was quoting around £4 per survey, so I'm thinking I could earn a few quid whilst sitting at home. They haven't been forthcoming. Like I said, only through ciao, and one other which gives you ipoints which I don't understand and am not reallly interested in to be honest.

The last two with ciao, yesterday I think it was, I answered a few questions and they then said that I'm not in the group of people who they need to complete the survey.

I have actually had money from Ciao a couple of times. I think you have to have something like £5 and then you can ask them to transfer it to your bank account. I am also registered with Greasy Palm but I think you have to have about £25 before they will transfer it to your bank account and I don't have that much yet so don't know whether that works or not.

I would say that if anyone is hoping to make any real money from doing surveys on-line then they are almost certainly going to be disappointed. You can spend a lot of time filling in these surveys and only end up with pin money. However, Ciao does do what it promises.

Hi, I have been doing internet surveys for approx. 2 years now and therefore I can advise you of the ones that are worth trying and the ones to steer clear of. www.pineconeresearch.co.uk offer you luncheon vouchers for completion of surveys but I have only ever got about 3 surveys a year i.e. £12 of LV's. Still money is money. www.globaltestmarket.com took me nearly 18 months to earn $50 and some of the surveys are really long and boring, but they do pay up and they are regular. Just some of them you are not eligible for. Ipoints is really slow in building up points but I have earned £50 worth of marks and spencers vouchers. Keep well away from Test and Vote. www.mediatransfer.com offer £16 Amazon vouchers after earning 100 points which is one of the better ones. I have earned £32 worth of those so far.

Hope this has helped.

Ooooh mediatransfer sounds good - Amazon vouchers I can use!

So looks like what you hear of earning £4 per survey and getting about 100 a week just doesn't happen eh?

There are some out there that do pay out but not many.

I am a member of Ciao and they do pay out regularly and the surveys aren't too bad. You can also earn more by doing reviews etc, but not sure how much as I don't do this myself.

Another good one is YouGov, more an opinion poll site but they pay approx £1 per survey and they aren't that bad either (they use the results of some of these in the papers). You have to earn £50 before they pay you and it takes about a year ish, so not a massive earner but good for the occasional cheque for next to nothing. I have had £50 off them and already £30 into my next payout, and all for 5 mins of my time occasionally.

Another, TNS. You get surveys every so often and they convert your points earnt per survey into Nectar points as and when you have done a survey. However, I think you have to be personally invited to join them now, not 100 sure, but thats what I heard last.

Also, I would say don't bother with Test & Vote. i signed up with them a while ago and you have to earn points for vouchers but it is very hard to reach the target, and they don't even credit you for half the surveys you do, you have to badger them so all in all not worth it.

So, you can earn a few quid from surveys, but your could never make a living from it, but the occasional cheque for a few mins work every so often is nice.

Hope that helps!

Pinecone are excellent but you can't apply they will put banners on web sites inviting people of the type they need.

The amount of surveys you get depends on age sex etc.

My mum gets loads but I only get a few.

They will also very often send you new products to test for the manufacturers.

Its very confidential and you can't talk about it so I can't say what I've had.
