Question on behalf of a friend. She is currently being assisted with interest payments on part of her mortgage.However she now needs to downsize .She will have a large deposit for new house but will still needs dss assistance on part of mortgage.The current mortgage company will not allow her to continue in this way as she has no form of inome other than benefits.( She is unable to work at moment due to dissability ).The dss has confirmed it will pay the interest on a p[ortion of mortgage ,however she needs to put a mortgage in place first. Are there any mortgage providers that might help?
