There are so many providers, I have had a few, there have been small problems with them all. But dont let it freak you out.
I would go fo AOL, or BT.
And by the way, dial up is usually cheaper than Broadband, broadband is faster, but dial up is fine, just means you cant use the phoneline while you are on the internet.

I would agree with AOL I've used them for years would'nt go any where else, would'nt give BT house room, with AOL you have choices of speed and rates i use the Silver package and it's spot on,you also get on line backup which is great when you get a problem

I use NTL, have had no problems up to now. It works out the best deal for me as I have my digital tv, telephone and broadband in one package, £40 the lot. The TV is all channels except sport and movies.

We use the utility warehouse and currently pay £22.99 per month that gives us our broadband connection and all our calls to uk landlines free. Thats free at all times, daytime, evening and weekend.
You have to use an independent executive to get the service but it can be done online.
They also have great deals on mobiles, freephone numbers and very topical are among the cheapest gas and electricity deals available
