Credit reports are used by credit card companies in order to assess the individuals who apply for their products. Supplied by credit reference agencies, these reports are individual assessments based on credit history and records of any county court judgements, arrears or defaults. The report will consider your credit risk and the credit card company to which you have applied will use it as a basis to either accept or reject your application.
Should you be refused by a credit card company then you are within your rights in asking which credit reference agency they used. From this agency you will then be able to obtain a copy of your personalised credit report UK and see why the decision might have been made. You will then be able to find out more about your credit file and learn how to improve your chances of obtaining credit.
it's only £2 for an experian report.
It costs to retain the information which is why credit reference companies charge for it.
"That's right. I got your number, id boy. Only thing you're thinking about is how long before you can jump on my bones".
What about the data protection act? I thought everyone is legally obliged to see anything about them? Paying is certainly not the case, what if you had no money?
£10 sounds like the standard charge for 'Data Input Access Requests' if for example, a credit card company holds account information, you can write to them and send a £10 cheque to receive all the information they hold.
"That's right. I got your number, id boy. Only thing you're thinking about is how long before you can jump on my bones".
