Jason, well done to you for sticking it out. I think out of everybody that took part, you and Sasha came out as the most inspiring simply because you both made the tranisition of starting out as (or appearing as) completely ignorant about green issues, and semmed unwilling at first, but then suddenly became eco-converts! (To be honest I couldn't stand you both at first, but now you're both heros!)

It is a real shame that C4 condensed so much of the show down, I think much more should have been seen, to get a better idea of what it was like to be in that situation, and to help increase the chances of getting the message across. None the less, a far more plausible message than the live earth concert, which came across more as a pointless platform for hypocritical ego-fuelled publicity-seeking celebrities, like Madonna, a woman who throws away a toilet seat every time she goes to the 'bathroom'...

i must admit i very nearly left on the first day. but i decided to sleep on it, and while i was lying on the floor between jermaine and nashy...(both really heavy snorers) i tried to see the point of us being there.

logically i evaluated if there was a need to highlight the issues of what we throw away.... i came to the only conclusion possible....which is, there is a problem.

if theres a problem, then we have a responsibility as individuals, to try and rectify that. once that had been decided, i realized i had no choice but to stay. to leave would have been selfish.

once i knew i was staying it was just a matter of coming up with all the solutions to the tasks, most of which we set ourselves.

dumped gold was nashys idea, he's an avid golfer, and he made a driving range using a blanket, some wood, pallets, and oil drums.

it worked rather well.

as for a dvd box set. i would love for them to produce it, if they do i would love to be involved in an extra's section or maybe an easter egg surprise..)
